Review: Delilah

Hey There Delilah
Oh, it’s what you do to me-e-e. What you do to me…
I love that song.
Meet Delilah. Isn’t she beautiful?
When I originally purchased her from an adult toy party I was told that it was the vibe to give me the g-spot orgasm I had been dreaming of. My consultant kind of sucked. First, this is actually marketed as a clitoral stimulator, though it can be used as a g-spot vibe if you’re already pretty familiar with your anatomy. Also, she didn’t have any with her so I had to wait like a whole freakin month to get it.
I was so excited when I finally got it in the mail. I tried for hours to give myself a g-spot orgasm, but since there was no indication of which way the vibe was facing once it was inserted I couldn’t figure out which way to face it. I got frustrated and put it away with my other g-spot vibes I’d given up on. I was sad, thinking I’d never get to have the wonderful orgasms these consultants were telling me about.
Then I found Eden Fantasys. Now that I’ve read up on the actual uses of the toy and figured out a bit of my anatomy it’s started working a little better for me.
Delilah is a slender little vibe measuring about 7 1/2″ long. The insertable length is listed as 2 1/2″, which is about to the little silver ring that’s about 3/4 of the way up the shaft. Though you can insert it as far as you like, it’s a little difficult to clean around the ring because of the seaming. The angled head and length make it a nice vibe to use during sex. You can reach your clit while propped up on your elbows doggy style, and it’s slender enough to use during missionary variations, while your lover is licking your goodies or just for solo play.
The base of the toy unscrews to reveal the battery compartment. It requires 2 AAA batteries that are fitted into a little plastic sleeve and inserted into the end of the vibe. There’s a clear little o-ring fitted around the base that’s suppose to make the toy waterproof, but I have noticed some rusting. This is likely because the dial that controls the vibration is also at the base of the toy, which causes the base to unscrew a bit when you’re adjusting the speed. As with similar toys, you’ll need two hands to adjust the speed to your liking. If not, you’ll just twist the whole damn base off and piss yourself off.
Delilah is made of plastic, but it’s kind of a matte plastic. Not the hard, shiny kind. The texture reminds me a bit of silicone, but it’s not quite as soft and definitely not as pliable. The smooth surface of the toy is a little more friendly to the clit. The vibrations are strong, but may not be as pin pointed as some women need for clitoral stimulation. The texture causes the vibrations to be a little deeper inside the toy, instead of rattling the surface like some of harder plastics are. It’s also very, very quiet.
Because of the silver ring around the shaft and the ridges on the cap at the base of the toy, you’ll need to be more attentive when cleaning. You can use soap and warm water or before and after toy cleaner. Rinse and be sure to let it dry before putting it away. You’ll also want to check the battery compartment for any stray moisture between uses to prevent rusting or damage. Use condoms for sharing and avoid anal play. Delilah doesn’t have a flared base and it would be easy to lose her in your ass. The seaming around the silver ring could potentially trap fecal matter, which is not something you want anywhere near your clitoris or vagina.
If you’re looking for a good quality, inexpensive clitoral stimulator then I would recommend Delilah.
