title pic Review: Ella

Posted by Sarahbear on November 9, 2009

I’ve purchased sex toys before, both at sex shops and at adult toy parties. Most any of the products I’ve bought and seen on display come in the tackiest, most overtly sexual packaging you can imagine. Not Ella. She came in this elegant, yet simple black box with LELO stamped in silver on the front.  This type of packaging lets you know that you’re purchasing a quality product. A product that has had a lot of thought put into every detail. If they put this much effort into packaging, just imagine how invested they are in their sex toys.

After opening the package I discovered yet another simple black box. A canvas texture with the brand name stamped in black in the center. A sturdy little box that gives you the option of storing your dildo discreetly on any surface in your bedroom. No one would ever guess you were hiding a dildo inside of a box like this. After removing the lid, there was a plastic sleeve molded perfectly to Ella’s curves. The holes offer ventilation to prevent damage to the toy. The sleeve is a solid, durable plastic that will hold up should you decide to store your dildo in it’s original box. I know I’m torn between the box and the custom white satin bag.Underneath the custom sleeve, LELO has included the one year warranty and a user manual written in five different languages. All of LELO’s products come with a one year warranty and you register your product, with it’s serial number, on their website, just like you would any expensive electronic purchase. The user manual starts off by congratulating you and asking you to have a look over the rest of the book before using the toy. It goes over the functions and design of the dildo, gives a few tips on how to use it, details how to clean, store and safely use your new toy and lists the materials.

Ella is made of 100% body safe silicone. She’s seven inches long, five of which are insertable, leaving you with about two inches of handle to work with. I had an easier time using the g-spot end as a handle than I did when I used the pleasure point. Possibly because when I got ready to work on my g-spot I had already been using the other end and it was covered in lube. It’s pretty awesome to be able to flip a toy over in the middle of masturbating and use the other end, though. It’s a good idea to keep a towel around to wipe it off so you can get a better grip when you switch ends.

I have been able to give myself a g-spot orgasm with Ella. I’ve never really used insertable toys to masturbate with in the past. I had only ever had clitoral orgasms up until a couple of weeks ago. I have purchased and tried several toys that were specifically designed for g-spot stimulation with no success. I even bought a cream to enhance g-spot stimulation. Since most of the toys I have really used are clitoral vibrators, I am not familiar with the positions my body needs to be in to use this toy. Some of them feel awkward. I’m still learning how to thrust at a rate that’s pleasurable for me.

Of course, this isn’t the fault of the company or it’s product, but it’s worth mentioning. This toy is the perfect shape to stimulate your g-spot and the material is smooth, flexible and comfortable to insert. The flexibility helps it glide smoothly over your pelvic bone as you’re thrusting. Those features combined with the very reasonable price make this an excellent toy for someone like me who is just being introduced to her g-spot. If you’re still hunting for your g-spot, this toy can help you find it. If you’re well aware of where yours is, Ella will suit you fine as well. Ella is a worthy investment for anyone’s sex toy collection. I’m looking forward to my future purchases from LELO: Gigi, Lola and Nea.

I purchased my Ella from Eden Fantasys. You can check out my review for Ella over there and if you’d like to check out some of the other reviews on their site, you’ll find that most everyone is please with their LELO purchases.
