Review: Liquid Silk

Liquid Silk is the second lube I have purchased aside from the mainstream brands they sell at many stores (KY and Astroglide). We were almost out of the Just Like Me that I bought from a Slumber Party, so I decided to pick a highly rated, water-based lube off of Eden Fantasys. I picked water-based because I also purchased an Ella, which is silicone and not compatible with silicone based lubricants.

Here it is, fresh out of the box it was shipped in, with the white, tamper proof sticker over the pump. The sticker was broken, but it was obvious that it just got snagged on something else in the box. No one had tampered with my lube.

I peeled off the sticker and squirted a pump onto my fingertips, rubbing it around to get an idea for a good way to describe the consistency. The thing I would compare it to is watered-down conditioner. Phallicity says it reminds him of cold semen.

Either way, it’s a nice consistency for sex. Or anal sex. Or playing with your lube sensitive toys. Or manual stimulation. But not for oral. It tastes awful. Like I mentioned in my review on Edens, you will probably want to avoid using this if you are going to have oral sex.

There is about 8.45 oz of lube in the bottle, and as you can see we’ve already used quite a bit of it. This picture was taken roughly a week after we purchased it. Right now, it’s been about two weeks and we’ve used it to under the word ‘Liquid’. It looks like the lube is underlining the word. We’re pretty much been using it every day.

One thing I noticed a couple nights ago was that I never knew how craptastic the mainstream lubes were until I used a good one. This stuff was hiding under a shirt or something one night, so Phallicity grabbed the bottle of KY silk out of our corset box. He started trying to use it on me for manual stimulation. I told him it hurt. So we tried sex and I told him the lube sucked and he needed to find the Liquid Silk. So he did and we had great sex after that.
