title pic Review: Pink Water

Posted by Sarahbear on January 17, 2010

We were running out of water-based lubricant around here so I started looking for a new one to try. I had recently tried Pink Silicone and someone recommended I try their water-based lube since I loved it so much. I decided to purchase the smallest bottle just in case it wasn’t quite what I was looking for. Now I’m kind of kicking myself for not getting the biggest one because it’s just as awesome as their silicone lube.

Pink Water comes in a clear plastic bottle with a simplistic and pretty logo on the front. It’s specifically formulated for women, just like the silicone version. The ingredients, which are clearly listed on the back of the bottle, are Water, HEC, PEG 45, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Polyquaternium 5, Tetrasodium EDTA, Germall II, Sodium benzoate, Aspartame, Polysorbate 20, Aloe Vera extract, Ginseng extract, Guarana extract, Avena sativa extract, Sodium hydroxide, Propylene glycol, and Citric Acid. While it is glycerin free, it does contain parabens so if you like your lubes without them then you would need to choose a different one.

It’s dispensed with a convenient pump that provides about a pea-sized amount of lube. It’s a little on the thick side, similar to the aloe vera gels you rub on sunburns, and it has a great slick texture that lasts a long time. I can spread a single pump over the entire palm of my hand  and it continues to ease the friction between my fingers after rubbing them together for several minutes. When mixed with a woman’s natural lubricant it seems to last forever.

There is no noticeable odor or taste, so this is suitable to use before oral sex. In fact, if you find yourself needing another dose of lube you can simply do a little licking to reactivate the slick glide. A lot more fun than reaching for the bottle during the middle of sex. Since it’s specifically formulated for women, it’s best used for female masturbation with toys or fingers and sex. It doesn’t work quite as well for hand jobs because it tends to rub into the skin before you can get the job done. You could reactivate the lube by adding in a blow job if you like though. It’s really the combination of women’s natural lubrication with this that showcases how awesome this stuff is.

Clean up is easy, just wipe off with a towel or rinse with water. If you’re lazy like me you can just leave it be or rub it into the skin since it doesn’t leave a residue behind. I absolutely love this stuff. It’s wonderful and I’ll be buying myself a larger bottle when this one runs out. With the way it reactivates when it’s re-wet I don’t think I’ll need to buy more for a while though.

Why don’t you go get yourself a bottle from Eden Fantasys?
