Love³ Kit from GoodVibes.com $26.00

The Love³ Kit is a small box of sample sized products that would be great to bring along on a short, romantic trip. I requested mine from Good Vibes about two weeks ago and was a little disappointed when it arrived. Not due to the quality of the products, but because in the intense Georgia heat, my massage bars had all melted. I had heard some other people experienced something similar, having their bars arrive a little squishy and misshapen, but mine weren’t salvageable. They were completely melted all over everything and the entire kit smelled of the mint bar.

This, of course, wasn’t the fault of the manufacturer or Good Vibes. No one can control the weather. It’s just a factor to consider when making purchases. If you live in a place where it gets very hot during the summer, you should avoid ordering products that are intended to melt at temperatures it may reach while it’s shipping. The massage bars were intended to melt into the skin when rubbed against it, so around 97 or 98 degrees (make sure you factor in the heat index too). I did have bits and pieces of the bars that I let the kids rub into their hands and I rubbed some onto my arms, so I can vouch that they would be wonderful to use for massages if the temperature outside didn’t melt them. The smells aren’t terrible over powering either, aside from the mint.

The bars also managed to destroy the mini-feather duster that was intended to be used with the body dust. I tried wiping it off and rinsing, but it was caked into the feathers so there wasn’t any fixing it. I do have other feather dusters that I was able to use and you can sprinkle it with your fingers, a silk cloth or tissue. The dust comes in a little ziploc baggie that is a little difficult to use. Possibly because mine was covered in melted massage bars. I wiped it off but the top was still sticking together a lot so I poured it into a small, silk pouch that I had put honey dust in before. The dust has a very light consistency and flavor, but it didn’t freak out my allergies the way the Kama Sutra honey dust had. I would say it tastes a lot like cotton candy. It can be sprinkled anywhere on your partner’s body that you want to kiss (except inside the vagina). Put some behind the knees, on the nipples or along the small of their back and gently lick it off.

Unaffected by the melted bars, three bottles of lotion and oil, as well as a sample packet of lubricant survived. Each bottle is a half of an ounce, which is the perfect size to take along for an overnight trip. The French vanilla ‘knead me’ massage lotion had a cleaner smell to it than other vanilla scented products I’ve tried. Usually vanilla smells warm to me. This had a vanilla ice cream sort of scent. It rubbed in nicely and left my skin feeling silky. I use it more as a hand cream and keep it in my purse, rather than use it for foreplay. It could certainly be used for that though.

The pomegranate mint oil can be used in the tub or to rub on the skin. I can’t even detect the mint when I smell it. It smells light and fruity. My favorite way to use this is to pour a small amount into the tub before a long, hot bath. It soaks into the skin well and leaves it soft and silky. There’s also a lickable oil that’s flavored like creme brulee. If you’ve ever had creme brulee, you know it’s delicious. There’s no substitute for it, but it does add a tasty surprise wherever it’s applied. You can dab it on yourself before your partner arrives or use is during your foreplay.

I enjoyed using the parts of the kit I was able to, and I’m sure I would have loved the massage bars too. If you’re interested in picking up your own Love³ Kit you can get it at GoodVibes.com. Just make sure you check the local weather forecast so your kit arrives safely!

Thanks so much to Good Vibrations for sending me this kit!
