Review: Europa
Posted by Sarahbear on August 5, 2010
The friendly folks at MyPleasure.com, a leading online retailer of sex toys, were kind enough to send me another toy to review. This time I received the Tybo Europa, which is a small, metal clitoral vibrator. It’s actually one of the only metal toys I own, aside from the Pure Wand. Unlike the Pure Wand, which is made of stainless steel, the Europa is made from a nickel plated aluminum alloy. Metal toys are excellent for temperature play. They can be placed in the fridge or a bowl of cool water to add a chill or placed in a bowl of warm water to heat things up. I noticed that the vibrator actually got really hot, matching my body temperature, as I used it.
It came in a sleek, black box with silver lettering, housed in soft foam. When I opened it the first thought I had was that it looked kind of like those mini-metal flashlights. It’s silver with a wide red stripe in the center. It’s only 5″ long and 3/4″ in diameter. There’s a small metal cone-thing that creates the flashlight look, but it comes off. I’m assuming it is intended to be used as a stand or keep the on-button from being pressed accidentally. It does transmit the vibrations slightly, so I guess you could use it for that if you wanted.
Both of the silver ends twist off completely and have black, rubber o-rings protecting the single AA battery compartment from water. It’s completely water-proof, so it can be used in the shower or tub and isn’t a pain in the butt to clean. One end has ‘TYBO’ engraved onto it. This is the on/off button. Pressing it in causes a nearly silent vibration. It’s only got one setting, which I think is kind of a con for such a pricey toy, but it is a strong setting. If you crave intense power for orgasms you may need to look elsewhere, but this should be suited for most women. I found it’s best used for foreplay or discreet masturbation. Since it’s so small and silent, it could be tucked into your purse and used when you’re feeling adventurous. It can also be used to tease the nipples, testicles, anus (but for Pete’s sake, do not put it in your butt, just outside!), and especially on the clitoris and labia. The combination of temperature play and vibration is pretty fun.
Think you might want to try one out for yourself? You can get them at MyPleasure.com along with many other safe sex toys!
Thanks so much MyPleasure.com for sending me this to review.
