A photo of yourself and a description of how your day was.

257 lbs (11 lbs down)

I decided that since the kids were getting ready in 15 minutes flat and we have spent the last two weeks sitting outside for 45 minutes waiting on the bus that I would let them sleep in a bit this morning. I figured that getting them up at 20 after 7 instead of right at 7 would work. Dylan has been waking up early though and he was at my door at 5 til asking if it was almost time for school. I decided to fix breakfast and go ahead and get their clothes out. As usual, Ty didn’t approve of my choice and decided on plaid shorts and a polo t-shirt. Stylish kid, he is.

We finished the morning routine and got the kids on the bus with very little craziness. At least, in my opinion. We only spent 10 minutes searching for Dylan’s shoes and I only had to remind Ethan 4 times that he needed to get dressed instead of pretending he was one of the Jonas Brothers from Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.

I convinced my sister to blow her boss off instead of going in early and we had a great breakfast. I put the only load of laundry in the dryer and forgot to fold it because I had to finish the last 200 pages of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Which I spent about 4 hours reading, stopping for lunch and appreciating the fact that Kristen wanted to take a nap.

When the boys returned from school I helped them with homework and fussed at Ethan for sneaking his DS to school. I told Chad I finished the book and then I fixed dinner. Once my sister got home from work I walked around the neighborhood (nearly a mile in 14 minutes!) and snapped the photo for this post.

A fairly uneventful day, but I have been dealing with a bit of a cold since Labor Day and I deserved a day to take it easy. What better way to nurse a cold than to curl up with your youngest baby under a blanket with a good book? It’s been a good day. I’m going to get a shower and maybe wear some of my new lingerie for Chad. We’ll see if I notice a difference in the fit tonight. He’s been patient with me while I’ve been sick and not in the mood. I think I’ll surprise him with some extra special things this evening…

if he’s not too sleepy.
