Sunday: Weekly Wrap It Up #26
Posted by Sarahbear on October 24, 2010
October is a very busy month around here. On top of the all the usual stuff, we’ve got a niece’s birthday, Dylan and Ty’s birthdays, a family reunion, loads of extra stuff going on at the kid’s schools and Halloween. It seems like we’ve been out of town every weekend. When I finally got the chance to be home, I took full advantage of it and relaxed or caught up on some exercising.
Chad and I are sticking to our date nights. We’re going on at least two a month. Some days it’s awesome, some it’s not. Getting dressed up can do wonders for my self esteem and encourage me to keep going, but then there are days when I am bloated or just feeling a little blah in general and I can’t find anything to wear. What was most frustrating this month is being between sizes. I’m definitely out of 22′s. They look ridiculous on me now. 20′s had been baggy, but 18′s were too snug. I’m sure part of this was due to me squeezing myself into 20′s and stretching them out a bit. It was really annoying to try to find something that made me feel sexy, worthy of a date night, and wind up buying a whole new outfit while I was out.
Yes, I bought a whole new outfit. I was just going to get a new bra and maybe some matching panties, because I’ve officially lost another bra size and my panties keep giving me wedgies from being baggy on the butt. I was a 42DD in August and now I’m a 38DDD. This might not make sense to some of you. I’ve lost 5 inches around my rib cage in the past 2 and a half months, but my breasts are still the same size. I only had one bra in that size and it was ugly and uncomfortable, so I purchased a new one by Cacique that’s quite sexy. I got matching panties, not in an 18/20, but in a 14/16! While I was browsing my feet were killing me from wearing unbroken in heels so we stopped by Lady Footlocker and got me a pair of flip flops. Then my jeans were dragging the ground so I looked around Lane Bryant some more and tried on a pair of 20′s in the right fit (yellow). I couldn’t even get them up over my hips! I was like, there is no freaking way. When I came out shaking my head the cashier asked me what color the pants were and I was like ‘uh…blue? They’re jeans.’ Then she talked to me about the right fit thing and told me I was a red, not a yellow. Red is for moderate curves, yellow is for narrow hips. Oh… so I was trying to fit into juniors jeans, basically. She was right though. The reds fit much better, and were actually a bit big. I should have gotten 18′s, because I’m definitely an 18 now. Oh well, that’s what ebay is for.
I stopped by Hot Topic and found the Slytherin shirt I wanted for the Harry Potter premiere next month. I’m so excited to see that movie. It comes out on Chad’s birthday so it’s definitely going to be a date night. I wore the shirt to my family reunion and it’s what I’m wearing in the photo in the sidebar.
That’s what has been going on this month and why there has been a bit of a lack of new posts. I’ve got some reviews to catch up on, and I may work on those today since tomorrow is another dentist appointment for Kristen and I’ll be out of town, again. I’ve got some laundry to do today and I’ve got to workout too.
This week’s Song for Sunday is “Just the Way You Are” by Bruno Mars because it’s another new song that Chad said reminds him of me. I love it when he mentions songs that brought me to his mind.
