It’s Almost Time!

Christmas celebrations are just a little over a day away for us. I’m so excited. I can’t wait to see how everyone likes the gifts I’ve picked out for them, especially Chad. We have been fortunate this year and I’m very thankful.
I hate to brag, but I’m going to anyway. I have the most amazing husband in the world. He and I are terrible about gift giving. We can never wait until it’s actually time to give the gift (for birthdays and such) and we always wind up giving them early. I have held off, though he knows what some of his gifts are because I wanted to be sure he knew the money was spent and what not. I don’t believe in making large purchases without his knowledge. Partly because he’s the one working to bring home the money, but mostly because we make those kinds of decisions together. So, he knows the price ranges of some gifts but has no idea what they are. I’ve been fighting the urge to give them to him early and so far I’m beating it.
He can’t stand it and gave me a few things early, but with good reason. With how busy we are over the Christmas weekend, I would not really have been able to enjoy my gifts until later next week and he wanted to get some use out of them. He picked up a portable massage table and some rocks that you heat up for reflexology massages. How awesome is that? He knows how much I adore massages and this is just a really awesome gift that will get a lot of use. Since it’s portable we can fold it up and tuck it into the closet so the kids don’t destroy it and we can take it with us when we go on trips. We used it last night and it’s really comfortable. It’s also adjustable so the person giving the massage doesn’t have to strain their back. Just a super great gift.
He also picked out a beautiful pair of earrings that he wanted me to be able to wear for our date earlier this week. I can wear them for Christmas too. They’re dressy enough to be really pretty but not so huge they look out of place. He knows my taste, and his taste is the same as mine I guess.
His gifts are catered to his taste and I can’t wait to give them to him. It is literally killing me to wait! Okay, maybe that’s a bit dramatic, but the days are dragging on forever. I hope that everyone has a wonderful Christmas (or whatever holiday they celebrate). Be safe if you’re traveling and try to tolerate the family members who aggravate you.
