Happy Hour Kit from Good Vibrations

I have previously reviewed a massage kit from Good Vibrations and I learned the hard way that you don’t want to order their massage bars if it’s hot outside. It’s cold right now, so I thought I’d give it another shot. I’m glad I did because I wound up finding my husband’s favorite product to massage me with. Now I just need to order a few more while it’s cold and store them in the refrigerator.

Kidding, of course. Unless the A/C goes out again.

I received the Happy Hour Kit shortly after New Years. The box did have a little bit of oily residue from something leaking, but I don’t believe it was from the massage bars. The Lickable Body Oil came in a tiny ziploc bag, but the cap loosened during shipping and leaked. It didn’t waste much and a little of that stuff goes a long way. It also probably won’t happen with every kit.

The Happy Hour Kit includes 6 items:

All products in the Happy Hour Kit are available for purchase separately on Good Vibrations website. Some are available in various sizes. I’ve linked to each product, but the kit is a nice way to sample a little bit of everything.

The Smooch Me Lip Lube comes in a cute little tin canister. It’s like a firm minty wax. You apply it with your finger, like Carmex and it gives you soft lips and yummy smelling breath. I have been using it daily and haven’t even made a dent in it. It should last a long time. I suspect months with daily use.

The Devour Me Lickable Body Oil comes in a short, square bottle. It reminds me of the perfume bottles that you turn up and dab on, rather than spritz. The oil is thin and has a very light flavor (though you can definitely tell it’s Pina Colada). A little goes a long way, and I imagine you can get 10 or so uses out of the tiny bottle that comes with the kit.

The Rub Me Massage Bar is my husband’s favorite part of the entire kit. It’s a round oil bar, about the size of the palm of your hand and an inch thick. It melts almost on contact with skin and glides on smoothly, leaving a thick oil behind for a fragrant massage. The Coconut Lime scent is clean and slightly sweet. We’ve used the bar 4 or 5 times now and still have enough left for a few more uses. My only complaint is that it comes in a foil wrapper, so once it’s opened you can’t really store it. You’ll need to use it up quickly or maybe store it in a ziploc baggy to keep it from getting coated with dust. Also, keep in mind that the kit I ordered in the summer had 3 or so bars in it that all melted completely before they arrived. This is a product you only want to order during the cold months. The bars are available separately in various different scents for about $6.00 a piece and are so worth it.

The Knead Me Massage Lotion comes in a 2 oz bottle. It has a sweet, fruity fragrance that is toned down by the mint. It’s a light lotion that goes on smooth, feels weightless, yet lubricates and moisturizes well. It’s a great size to take along on a trip or just keep in your purse.

The Relax Me Fizzy Bath Ball is the size of a golf ball and it comes in a really cute package. Pink polka-dot paper, tied at the top. It dresses up the kit for gift giving(ya know, if you had any special Valentine’s in your life.) If you’ve ever used a fizzy bath ball before, you just open it and plop it into your bath water. It looks kinda like alka seltzer, but it works like fragrant bath salts by softening the skin and relaxing you. The scent is wonderful, not too minty, yet not too fruity. A perfect blend of the two scents, really. I’d love it if you could buy a box of the balls separately.

The Pearl Drop Vibe is a small bonus to all the lovely massage stuff. After that massage, I’m sure you and your partner will be ready for some sex. That’s where the vibe comes in. Just make sure you figure out how to open it and put a battery in before you get started because it will kill the mood otherwise. I read the directions, twisted it, pulled it, read the directions a few more times and after about five minutes of fighting with it I was ready to give up. Then I just snapped it in half. I thought I’d broken it, but that’s how you open it. It takes 1 AA battery, then you snap it back together. You twist it until it comes on. It has one vibration setting. It’s about the size of an index finger so it’s a nice addition to a sweet little kit that won’t intimidate those new to sex toys.

Overall, I was very pleased with my Happy Hour Kit and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a little something to take along for a getaway, a Valentine’s gift or just a thoughtful surprise. The products are all small enough to be considered sample sizes, but have plenty of uses if you decide you like them. Interested? You can get one for yourself from Good Vibrations.
