What a Difference a Year Makes
Posted by Sarahbear on February 9, 2011
We’re still the cutest couple ever. We look like we go together perfectly. I’m about 20 lbs lighter, and you can really tell it in my face. We’re happy and so in love.
This year, we can’t go on a trip until the end of the month due to important things Chad has to take care of at work. We’ll be leaving on the 28th to go to sunny Orlando. On our trip we plan to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Sea World, the Ripley’s museum, IHOP and many other restaurants. We’ll do some shopping, some sight seeing and enjoy each other’s company. We’re bringing the massage table and the Liberator gear too, so I’m sure it will be a fun trip.
Even though the trip has to wait, the gifts couldn’t. Chad and I are both nearly incapable of waiting to exchange gifts. We get so excited about it that we just do it early. I received the necklace and earrings I’m wearing in the second photo and a giant gift basket. Inside the basket were a few of my favorite things. A pretty new coffee mug, overflowing with my favorite Ghirardelli caramel chocolate squares, a pretty jar of vanilla verbana bath salts/crystals, several lip glosses, a giant birthday cupcake scented candle and a flower sponge from Bath & Body Works, and some cute new panties in a L instead of an XL (to replace all the XL I’ve had to throw out due to losing weight!). It also had my earrings in it, but he had the necklace behind his back.
He is so good to me. Sometimes I find myself wondering what I ever did to deserve him. He’s so sexy too and I find myself asking how I wound up with someone so good looking.
His gifts will come later. I’ve ordered him two new books that he’s been wanting. One is called The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson. He’s the author who took over writing the Wheel of Time series when the author died. Chad really appreciated the way he was able to ease into the books and didn’t ruin them for the people who had been reading the series for years. I picked a book series for him to start right before Christmas called the Codex Alexa by Jim Butcher. He loved it and I was so proud of myself for picking an entire series of books he wound up loving. I ordered him the first book in the Dresden Files by the same author so he could see how he likes that series. The third book has to wait until March because it won’t be available until then. Well, the signed copy won’t. His favorite book is Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss, who is doing a book signing tour towards the end of the month. We can’t make it to any of the signings because we don’t live close enough, but the guy is going to sign a bunch of books to sell on the first leg of the tour so that the people who want a signed copy of the second book are able to obtain one if they aren’t able to come to an event.
We’ve had a wonderful year together. I look forward to this one and all the years to come.

Happy anniversary! I feel exactly the same way about Ryan. I just feel so lucky. I’m super jealous of your impending trip though. I want to go to Harry Potter world something fierce. lol
Also, I think me and your husband are book twins. haha I’ve had the Wheel of Time series on my tbr list forever, but I’ve read some Sanderson. Also, the Codex Alexa was great IMO. Butcher is one of my favorite authors and his Dresden Files is one of the few urban fantasy series I still read. See how I geek out anytime books are mentioned? I have a problem.

Thank you so much! You will get to go to HP world. I have faith. You’ll also get to take Holden, since you’ve just got one kid, and it will be awesome. I’ll take lots of pictures and think of you often. :p
You sound like book twins. I swear I look at your list and it’s all stuff he has told me to read. I love book geeks, even if I have issues getting started with books.
