Is That…My Sex Drive?

I woke up early yesterday morning when our lawn care person showed up at 7:30 to cut the grass. I don’t blame him for coming so early. It’s summer and it’s hot in Georgia. It’s been even hotter than usual the past week, with many heat advisories. Even so, I woke up to the sound of the mower riding past my bedroom window. I moved to the couch and turned on the news, bundling up under a blanket and hoping to go back to sleep.

I was successful in my attempts, but found myself having some very realistic dreams. I have had sexual dreams in the past, but they’ve been so infrequent lately. This was so real I probably could have had an orgasm while I was sleeping if it wasn’t for the mower zipping past the window and interrupting my bliss. What was particularly odd about this dream, or maybe not so odd, is that I distinctly remember using sex toys in it. I don’t think I’ve ever used a sex toy in a dream before, despite reviewing them for a year and a half now.

Even more unusual is that I used a butt plug, and the only time I really wanted to participate in butt play was when I was pregnant. Don’t ask.

In the dream I used the Bootie (by Fun Factory) and the Ophoria Beyond #3 together. I told Chad about the dream later. He always likes to know about those things. I’m just hoping this sticks around because I beat myself up when I don’t have a sex drive. It puts so much stress on our relationship. Chad wants it. I could care less, but I want to care. I want to be interested. Then he complains, we fight, and I feel so guilty but also I feel like I’m a bad wife/woman for not wanting sex. The fact that I’ve been wanting sex for the past few days, a lot, is really exciting.

The more sex we have, the more likely we are to use some of our toys. I am way behind on reviews, so this is awesome. I have several toys that I’ve really enjoyed using and I can’t wait to talk about them.  Both of the toys I dreamed about are pretty awesome. I’ll write the review for the Beyond #3 once it’s back in stock somewhere though. Keep a look out for some recommendations on some great toys soon.
