Gifted

Since our anniversary is so close to Valentine’s Day, the holiday celebration sort of meshes into a week long exchange of love, sex and gifts. Chad and I managed to squeeze in a shopping trip (where I purchased brand new, smaller bras. Losing 30 lbs will do that to a girl.) and ate at our favorite Japanese restaurant. I always forget how huge their sushi rolls are and wind up eating them for lunch the next day. Man, are they good though. I love eel.

He’s still dealing with the after effects of inventory, so he hasn’t and won’t have anymore days off until Friday. I’m pretty sure he worked for almost 14 days straight, and then 7 or 8 more. I went and had lunch with him at Red Lobster one Monday after class. Not awesomely romantic, but we have to make due until March when we can go on our trip back to Florida.

As far as gifts, we picked up Kindle Fires for each other. Wal-Mart had a deal where you got a $50 gift card with your purchase a couple of weeks ago. I ordered lots of lingerie, which worked out rather well. Some of the pieces fit well now, some will fit well soon enough. All of them are pretty and well made. I was especially impressed with the chemise from Seven Til Midnight.

I received a Liberator Wing, Pink Lotus Afterglow and Contour M (because Chad dropped our old one and it shattered into a million shards of ceramic). Then a Monday I was surprised after my workout with a vase full of flowers, some truffles and a little red bear on my desk. I only wish we had more time together right now. It’s hard with how much he’s working. Even if I wasn’t in school, he leaves for work before I get up, and gets home sometimes after I’m asleep. It’s 10:30 and he’s still not home from work today. Bleh.

Soon enough, they’ll have things sorted out and his schedule will go back to normal. Then he’ll have his vacation and we’ll go enjoy a week together alone. I’m pretty excited.
