What is Sexy by Sarah?
Hello and welcome!
I’m Sarah and this is just a place for me to jot down my thoughts. I enjoy writing about many topics, but this blog is mostly sexual in nature, as is evidenced in the title. It includes my sex toy reviews, various opinions on sex and how it relates to parenting, my marriage, food and other general chatter about my daily life.
I dislike labels because I feel like people have such wildly varying perceptions of what those labels mean, and they apply their own definitions to you as soon as you call yourself something. I do not see things in absolutes, black or white, right or wrong and I believe there are always shades of grey.
I’ve been married for eight years now and I have four children. I’m in my mid-twenties. I’m a dog person. I love food. I’m sarcastic. I’m laid back. I enjoy reading, writing, and talking and I spend entirely too much time watching bad reality television. Grey’s Anatomy is one of my favorite shows. I love most any type of music, but there is a special place in my heart for John Mayer, Coldplay and BeyoncĂ©. I love Daniel Tosh. I’m opinionated, yet non-confrontational as I enjoy my life as drama-free as possible. I prefer to get my drama from the various bad reality programs I watch each week.
I was raised mostly by my grandparents and I have a deep level of respect for them. Being brought up in a Southern Baptist church and by people who have that set of morals, it took me quite a while to allow myself to enjoy sex without feeling guilty. I’m still learning to let go of my inhibitions and fully enjoy sharing my body with my husband. We’re still learning new things about each other, even after all of this time. He and I had dabbled in sex toys throughout our marriage, but it wasn’t until a few months back that we actually began researching them and really figuring out what we enjoyed. We’ve since added many lubricants, vibrators, dildos, cuffs and a paddle to our collection and we’re constantly on the lookout for anything else we may enjoy. My lingerie collection is growing exponentially as I become more comfortable with my body the way it is. Pregnancy can be a traumatic thing for the female brain.
I am affiliated with multiple sex toy manufacturers and retailers. I have advertisements for them on my sidebars in the form of banners that link back to their sites. I also link back to them in my reviews, according to which company I received the product from. I make a commission when my readers use my banners and links to visit those sites and make purchases. I only affiliate and advertise for companies that I personally use, whether I shop on their site or I enjoy their products. I will not put banners or links up that lead to sites with poor customer service or that do not represent things that I agree with.
Ultimately, this is my blog. I pay for it and I will use it as I see fit. This is my space to tell you what I think. You’re welcome to read and certainly welcome to weigh in on things. I don’t expect you to agree with all of my opinions, but I do expect you to remain rational and express your disagreements in a productive manner. Comments are moderated, but I haven’t refused to publish any thus far that weren’t spam.
