HNT: Progress

I was really hesitant to step onto the scale when I returned from the vacation trip. I had spent the entire time eating a whole lot of gourmet foods, chocolates and drinking plenty of wine and cocktails with every meal. I was sure I’d put every bit of weight I had lost back on. I guess walking all over the Biltmore Estate and downtown Asheville was plenty of exercise to make up for the indulgent foods I was eating. When I got back I waited a full week before weighing myself and I was absolutely shocked to see an 8.6 lb loss. I’m pretty proud of myself. That brings my total weight loss to about 27 lbs. I’ve still got a good ways to go, but I’m trying to focus more on how I feel. It’s really hard to quantify that though, so seeing actual numbers helps me track my progress. I know it’s cheating to post more than one photo for your HNT, but I’m pretty excited.

I’m still a bit self conscious about the tummy, but hey, I’ve given birth to four kids. Three of them were over eight pounds! I’ve got to cut myself some slack here.
