Review: Heart 2 Heart Cuffs

Heart 2 Heart Cuffs $35.00 from Babeland

Earlier this year I was fortunate enough to receive the Heart 2 Heart Whip to review. I loved it. We still use it all the time, actually. I saw the matching Heart 2 Heart Cuffs and asked Babeland if they would let me review them.

and they did!

The first thing I noticed, as with most leather products, was the luxurious smell when I opened the box. They were quite a bit smaller than the other cuffs we own. This is a good thing because I can easily slip my hands out of the others if I want. The Heart 2 Heart Cuffs are more suited for people with slender wrists and hands. They fit very snugly.

They’re made of two separate leather straps. The bottom one is soft and black. It’s about 9″ long and 2.5″ wide. The soft, supple texture of the leather allows it to easily wrap and overlap around even the most slender wrists. The red strap is designed like a belt. It’s 11″ long (12″ with the buckle). There are 7 holes, each about 1/2″ apart, the closest being 6″ from the buckle. With the added material I would be willing to wager it would fit a wrist as small as 4 1/2 – 5″ around. The furthest hole is about 9″ away from the buckle, so it might fit someone with wrists that large, but considering the overlapping leathers I would say to pick another set of cuffs if your wrists are bigger around than 8 1/2″.

Just like the whip, theses cuffs are very well made. The sewing is neat and sturdy. The silver hardware is gorgeous against the black and red. The cuffs look very masculine to me, which is great since my husband loves to wear them. I prefer more feminine dress and bondage (if I’m going to be wearing it, anyway). If you’re a fan of the colors or less frilly looking bondage, these will fit the bill. Store them somewhere dry so you don’t rust or tarnish the hardware. Wipe them down with a damp cloth to clean off any sweat.

If you’re looking for a new pair of cuffs and you think these are interesting, you can pick up your very own pair at Babeland.com. They have the matching whip, blindfold and collar if you want to get the whole set. They’ve got a nice selection of other cuffs and BDSM gear, as well as plenty of other sex toys to peruse, so take your time and find something you like! Thanks so much to Babeland for sending me these to review.

Review: Expert Guide to Fellatio

Expert Guide to Fellatio at Babeland.com $35.00

Let me start out by saying that I have never been a huge fan of porn. I wasn’t opposed to it and I liked the idea of incorporating it into sex with Chad or masturbation, but the more I watched the more I became turned off by it all. As I became more involved in reviewing sex toys I started stumbling across instructional videos for all sorts of things and I also heard wonderful things about Tristan Taormino as a director. A few weeks ago Babeland offered up her Expert Guide to Oral Sex: Fellatio. It’s the second half of a two-part series on oral sex. The first part being based on Cunnilingus.

If you didn’t already know, fellatio is the more technical term for oral sex that is preformed on a penis. It’s also known as a blow job or giving head. This movie is an instructional DVD directed and narrated by Tristan Taormino, a popular feminist porn director who is very well known within the reviewing community.

The movie begins in a ‘fellatio workshop’ with Tristan dressed professionally and talking to the small crowd about the penis. She has charicature styled drawings and diagrams of it that she uses to describe all of the parts of the male anatomy. No part of the penis goes unmentioned and she even has a special diagram to discuss uncircumcised penises. Once she’s done she invites Roxy Deville (who is absolutely, stunningly gorgeous) and Christian (who is easy on the eyes as well) in for a brief interview. She discusses the different things that they enjoy about fellatio and what they think makes it better. Then she asks Christian to get ‘a little more naked’ so they can demonstrate some techniques on real anatomy for the work shop.

Yes.

Roxy gives Christian a blow job in front of about 15 people in a workshop. I guess it’s not too different considering all of the cameramen and directors on a porn set, but it still was a little awkward. The film focuses, most of the time, on what’s going on during the blow job and Tristan is speaking the entire time about what should be going on. She talks about using lube and your hands to get him worked up, teasing him with your tongue and lips and really enjoying what you’re doing. They occasionally pull the camera back and you see that Tristan is seated on the end of the couch while she’s giving all of the instruction. Roxy follows along with the directions as she’s prompted.

After the workshop, the movie goes into separate, more private settings. Each scene has a brief interview with the actors before they head into the bedroom. Though Tristan isn’t sitting on the end of the bed, she’s still giving instruction throughout each scene. There are also title screens throughout each scene when there is a position change or new technique as well as pop ups with little tips. It’s kind of reminiscent of VH1′s ‘Pop Up Video’. For your first run through, these are great, but the scenes can be watched without the instruction and pop ups easily if you select the right option from the main menu. In this mode the movie watches more like a porn, with each scene finishing with the orgasm. With the instruction on the orgasms are edited to the very end of the entire movie.

In the first bedroom scene, Kaiya Lynn and Alec Knight are paired up to demonstrate various positions you can give blow jobs in. Lindsay Meadows and Marcos Leon show some techniques for uncircumcised penises in the second scene. Alec reappears in the third scene with Adrianna Nicole for some advanced techniques, like deep throating. Roxy and Christian come back for the finale on the edge of a bath tub. In each scene the actors have loads of chemistry together. They genuinely enjoy themselves and it shows.

Some of the awesome features with this movie are, of course, the fact that you can turn off the instruction if you would like to. That way it has a lot of replay value and doesn’t wind up being something you bought and can only use once. You can choose which scenes to watch, so if you’d rather skip to your favorite couple you can do that. There are behind the scenes clips and interviews with the cast. It’s kind of fun to get to know a little more about the actors and actresses and to see what goes on during a porn shoot. My favorite extra is the lube tasting party. Adrianna, Tristan and Kaiya are all sitting on a bed as if they’re at a sleep over, but they’re tasting samples of flavored lubes.

There are three mini-features. Roxy and Christian demonstrate prostate stimulation during a blow job. They showcase a toy designed for it and talk about how to use it. Lindsay and Marcos do a little more playing with his uncircumcised penis. And Adrianna and Alec do one on safer sex, talking about how you can use condoms for blow jobs.

I really enjoyed this movie, which was surprising considering my previous opinion of porn. I liked it so much that I picked up the Expert Guide to the G-Spot from a local store when I was shopping. If you’re curious about ways to pleasure your partner during oral sex or self conscious about anything you’re doing, you can pick up a copy of this at Babeland.com. They’ve also got the Cunnilingus (oral sex preformed on vulvas a.k.a. eating pussy) version as well as a guide to anal sex, the g-spot movie I picked up and other instructional movies. You should head on over and browse their selection of adult DVD’s!

Thanks so much, Babeland.com, for sending me this product to review!

Review: Black Large Rubber Whip

Black Large Rubber Whip available at Babeland.com!

While Chad and I aren’t really that into BDSM we do enjoy a little bit of impact play. You would be surprised at how sensations that are typically painful can be pleasing when you’re sexually aroused. Babeland recently sent the Black Large Rubber Whip our way. I was interested in it because it’s rubber and the other floggers we have are leather, but I was also a bit nervous. I knew there would be a huge difference in the way the two materials felt in use. We both enjoy the thuddy feel of the leather floggers. I knew the rubber would have a more stingy sensation. If you grew up in the south with grandparents that ever sent you out to pick your own switch then you know what I had to be nervous about.

I was very pleasantly surprised to find out that I really enjoyed the sensation of the stingy rubber whip as much as, if not more, than the leather. So long as it hits flat against something, anyway. It can be a bit painful if the ends of the tails wrap around part of your body.

Have you ever had one of those paddles with the rubber ball connected by a string? The rubber string that attached the ball to the paddle is very similar to what each of the tails of this whip feel like. There are probably 100 of them. They provide a slightly stingy sensation on the very surface of the skin and don’t really leave any marks. If you enjoy seeing bruises or red marks after a BDSM scene then you will want to go with a different styled flogger, a paddle or cane. It feels very nice to drag the tails lightly against the skin, especially after a few stingy whacks.

The flogger itself is about 22″ long. The handle is slender and the weight makes it very easy to wield. If you find your arms tiring out during long impact play sessions then this might be a great option for you. From what I can tell, this is made pretty well. The rubber strands seem to be twice the visible length, just doubled over and fed through the handle. There are two plastic balls on either end of the handle and a clear, flexible tube covering the rubber strings. The end of the handle has a nylon string attached that can be used around the wrist during play or to store the flogger on a hook. You will probably want to hang it when you store it because the rubber tends to tangle very easily. It also picks up hairs and fuzzes that are a bit of an annoyance to pick out.

This is a really great choice for beginners and experienced BDSM players alike. If you’re a beginner to impact play you will want to be careful and read up on some of the safety concerns. You should test toys on yourself before you hit anyone else with them. Sometimes we don’t know our own strength and you don’t want to get caught up in the moment and accidentally hurt your partner. Avoid hitting unprotected parts of the body (like the kidneys and nerves in the lower legs). Read up on safe places to hit, like the buttocks. It’s a great product, just be safe and have fun.

Want a Black Large Rubber Whip of your own? You can pick one up at Babeland. They’ve got it in pink too. If you prefer leather whips, paddles or crops they’ve got those too and plenty of other BDSM gear to choose from. Thanks so much Babeland for sending me such a fun product to review.

It Takes Two to Tenga!

Okay, so it actually doesn’t as the Tenga is a masturbator and you can totally use this solo. I’m referring more to the fact that I’m reviewing both the Tenga Double Hole and the Tenga Hole Warmer.

Tenga makes a variety of male masturbation toys.

The  Double Hole is an Onacup, named after onanism (masturbation), made of jelly and plastic. It features a hole at the top and bottom – one a “bitter” side meant to simulate anal penetration, the other a “sweet” side meant to simulate vaginal penetration. Each sleeve is separate, simply overlapping each other inside the plastic cup. This Tenga comes pre-lubricated (containing: purified water, glycerin, sodium polyacrylate, phenoxy ethanol, and paraben) by Styrofoam sponges that are tucked inside the toy.

Bitter has larger bumps and ridges for a stimulating experience.

Each side delivers a very different feeling in use, the “bitter” side being much more snug and the nubs inside positioned to grip and squeeze against your shaft as you work it back and forth. The tight entry point is meant to give the feeling of anal sex and the larger grippers inside add to this feeling.

The “sweet” side is meant to mimic vaginal sex with a more comfortable and natural feeling entry point, a larger chamber for your penis and smaller nubs(though I haven’t seen a pussy with nubs inside.. And if I did, I’d probably run.) angled to stroke your shaft as you exit the Tenga.

"Sweet" has smooth ripples and angled nubs for a smooth and silky slide.

The texture inside, on either side, is wonderful. The toy has a great glide to it, the nubs rubbing and stroking your cock at your own pace. As an owner of a Tenga Flip Hole, I find this toy inferior, but an excellent choice for someone who wants to try out a Tenga product before sinking the money into a flip hole.

The Onacup is easy to handle and is meant for one-time use only. However, in practice, I’ve found you can strip the lining out of the plastic cup. By doing this, you are able to flip the liner inside out and clean it as you like. This is also my preferred way to use this toy, since without the plastic cup on the sleeve you can squeeze your cock while you stroke, adding a more direct pressure even than the Tenga Flip Hole. That being said, this is not made as sturdy as the Flip and after a few uses and cleaning, the wear and tear starts to show.

With the cup removed, you can add wonderful pressure to your self-lovin'.

When using the Tenga Flip Hole or Double Hole Onacup, I’ve used the Tenga Hole Warmer in preparation for the experience. The Hole Warmer is a plastic sheath about six inches long filled with a solution that hardens and heats upon activation. To do so, you simply click the metal disk inside and voila! It’s like magic! I get mystified every time I use the damn thing, though I know it’s a simple chemical reaction, that is still cool to see.

Once hardened, slip it into a lubed up Tenga toy for about five minutes or until you reach your desired temperature and go to town! Cleaning is easy, just your normal toy cleaner and a rinse to polish it off. To return the warmer to normal, simply boil it for a few minutes and you’ll see the solid crystal dissolve. Once it’s dissolved, let cool completely before use.

As neat as the product is, I found it simply made the lube “not cold” as opposed to “pleasantly warm”. Don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely an improvement! However, I was hoping for a little more heat.

I’ve used several Tenga products and enjoyed them all, these two are no exception. The Double Hole Onacup is a great toy for anyone seeking to test the waters for an awesome masturbator. The Hole Warmer is a nice (and affordable!) way to make that experience more enjoyable. Great products from a great company.

If you want to try your own Tenga Onacup and Hole Warmer they’re available at Babeland.com. They’ve even got Tenga Eggs, which are another inexpensive way to try out the Tenga materials and textures. Thanks so much to Babeland for sending us these products to review! We’ve had a great time playing with them.

Review: Perfect Pet

Perfect Pet from Babeland $35.00

I got a new pet from Babeland a few weeks ago. It’s cute, lilac and it purrs like a very excited kitten. Only, it’s not a kitten, it’s a vibrator! (Which is even better because I’m kind of allergic to cats.)

The Perfect Pet is about 5 1/2″ long. The face and body are made of silicone, stopping about 2/3rds of the way down and turning into a white plastic handle. It’s 1 1/2″ thick, which is pretty filling. The end of this vibrator has a slight g-spot curve, but it’s nothing significant. What really makes it feel good are the four ridges that provide textured, rumbling stimulation to the sensitive nerves in the entrance to the vagina. It’s great for short, quick thrusting.

The end, where the batteries go, is adorned with a faux jewel. The jewel twists off to reveal a little plastic battery chamber where you will put the 3 AAA batteries that come with it. Wait, what? Yes, it comes with batteries! Even though it’s a brand I’ve never heard of, they aren’t weak, cheap ones. Far too many toys have the ‘batteries not included’ disclaimer, so I’m sure you can appreciate not having to rush out to the store to pick some up before you get to use yours.

The vibrations are intense. There’s an on/off button on the front that cycles through the four options. They don’t vary in strength, at all, but there are different patterns. The first is steady and strong, then a steady pulse, then a more rapid pulsing. The last setting is a steady vibration followed by four long pulses. Holding onto it for too long makes my hand go numb. I don’t really like those sort of vibrations internally, but I love them on my clitoris. I actually prefer to use the Perfect Pet during sex to stimulate my clit. It’s thick enough that I can put the pressure I need over a wider area and the silicone is soft enough that it doesn’t pinch or cause pain.

Be sure to clean it well with Babeland  toy cleaner or with antibacterial soap and warm water. You can use a condom for sharing or wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution to sanitize it. Don’t put it in your butt, there’s no flared base. Careful while washing it because it’s not waterproof. There’s no rubber o-ring preventing water from seeping into the battery compartment. You’ll want to take extra care, probably with an old toothbrush, to clean the seaming between the silicone and ABS plastic because stuff tends to get trapped there between uses.

My only complaint is that this thing is kind of loud. If you have privacy issues you’ll want to find a quieter toy. Otherwise it’s great. It comes with batteries, it’s nice and strong and it’s made of a wonderful material. If you think it’s something you might like you should get yourself one from Babeland. If you get it before the end of May you can even get two Babeland condoms and two entice lubettes as part of their “Secrets of Good Sex” promotion! There are plenty of great toys that are part of the promotion, so you’re sure to find something you like.

Thanks so much to Babeland for sending me this cute little vibrator to review!

Review: Vibrating Mistress

Vibrating Mistress from Babeland $60.00

When I first began reviewing I got my hands on a few silicone toys. While the material itself has wonderful properties, I was not really impressed with the rigidity of the products I had. They caused some discomfort for me internally and I had almost sworn off silicone completely. Then I began receiving products from different companies and noticing their silicones felt different. More squishy, more comfortable, more pleasurable… and finally, thanks to the lovely folks at Babeland, I have found my absolute favorite brand of silicone. They sent me the Vixen Creations Vibrating Mistress to review (and after receiving it I finally decided I needed to have the Vixskin Randy.)

They sent this around St. Patrick’s Day (holy crap, have I really been playing with this thing for nearly two months already?!) because of it’s green-ish color. I wasn’t that enthusiastic about a green dildo (save for the Astro, which is more about girth and texture than color). Imagine my surprise when it arrived in the mail, in it’s simple, clear, plastic cylinder and it wasn’t green at all. In fact, it was a beautiful aqua/teal shade that I have used to decorate a few of the rooms in my house!  If you hold it at an angle in the sunlight there is even a slight sparkling sheen to it and you can see some of the marbling from where it was poured.

It’s shaped like a penis, obviously, but only vaguely. It’s completely smooth, aside from the indentation between the head and the shaft. It’s got a wide, flared base that makes it harness compatible and safe for anal play. Just be sure that you wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution or boil it between holes. You want to make sure any fecal bacteria is cleaned off before inserting it into the vagina again. I was worried it might be a bit floppy for anal pegging, but it worked very well for us. I felt pretty sexy with it strapped onto my body and my husband bent over in front of me. It’s not too thick, at about 1 1/4″ in diameter, but you will need to make sure you’ve warmed up and use plenty of lube. The squishy texture was comfortable for us, as beginners to anal.

There is a hole in the base that a bullet style vibrator can be inserted into. It comes with a small bullet on a string. It’s nothing spectacular. Just your standard, silver, push button, watch battery style bullet. The string does help retrieve the bullet when you need to clean your dildo. Be sure to put a dab of lube inside of the hole before inserting the bullet to help with removal after use.

The only real con that I can think of, which is an issue with most silicone toys, is it attracts lint, pet hair, and dust like a magnet. Vixen Creations silicone is actually a little bit stickier than other silicones. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, it just means you will find yourself washing off the Mistress before each use as well as after. I store mine wrapped in saran wrap to help with this. You can store it in drawstring bags, the container it came in… whatever you fancy, just make sure you keep it cool and dry to prevent damage. Also, no silicone lubes. Water-based only, or you’ll ruin it. Clean it with an anti-bacterial soap between vaginal uses, and either boil it or soak it in a 10% bleach solution to sanitize between anal uses.

I just can't get over how pretty the color is!

Want a pretty, blue Vibrating Mistress of your own? They’ve got them at Babeland. On a budget? They’ve got them without the vibrating bullet for a little cheaper. If that’s not quite what you’re looking for they have a selection of other dildos and toys by Vixen Creations too. If you still aren’t finding something you want they’ve got plenty of other dildos, vibrators, lubes, and books to peruse. Go ahead, get yourself something special!

Review: Maximus Lubricant

Maximus 50 mL at Babeland $7.00

Remember how much I loved Liquid Silk? Maximus is basically a thicker version of the water-based lubes by Bodywise Limited. I would say it’s about the same consistency as a hair gel or aloe vera sunburn gel. This thickness is nice for a variety of reasons. It stays put, so there is less drippy lube mess on your sheets. Whether you’re using a metal toy or a silicone toy, it’s not going to slip and slide all over the place. It’s also ideal for anal play, again because the thickness helps it stay put. It’s suitable for hand-jobs and manual stimulation because it’s slick and long lasting. Because it’s water-based it can be reactivated with a little bit of water. This means you won’t be reapplying lube every time it runs out (which isn’t often anyhow), so the bottle should last a while.

Speaking of the bottle, I actually got the 50 mL one from Babeland for this review. Due to the thickness of the lube and the small size of the bottle, it was a bit difficult to get it out to even try it. I would recommend getting the larger 250 mL pump for ease of use. Pumps are great for lube dispensing. If you opt for the smaller bottle you might find yourself feeling a little like you’re trying to get ketchup out of a glass bottle. Very frustrating. Really, it would be well worth paying the extra money for more lube and the pump dispenser. I promise.

The only other negative thing I can say about Maximus is that it has a slightly bitter taste. This is a bit of a deterrent for us because we like to intermix oral sex into most every sexual encounter we have. It works great for anal or for manual stimulation (especially fisting), but you will want to wipe it off or use something else for oral. Of course, the taste may not bother you at all, but if it does you can get around it with a little extra effort. Good sex is worth it.

Other than the small bottle (which is avoidable) and the taste, it’s a really great choice. It’s compatible with condoms, silicone toys and most anything else you could think of using it for. It lasts a long time, it can be reactivated with a little water and it’s inexpensive. You don’t have to get up and shower, like you do with some silicone and oil-based lubes. I don’t know about you but I can not stand the oily feeling of my skin sticking together. I even take showers after massages sometimes because the oil feels sticky behind my knees. You can just wipe off with a hand towel or leave it be. It just depends on how messy things get and how much it bothers you. Sometimes we just want to snuggle and pass out after a good orgasm, so it’s nice to not have to jump up to shower.

Specs:

  • Size: 50 ml (pictured), 250 ml (with pump)
  • Formula Base: Water
  • Ingredients: Highly Purified Water, Propylene Glycol, Cellulose Polymer, Di Sodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Methyl Paraben, Butyl Paraben, Ethyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben

I would give this lube 4 out of 5 hearts, just because the bitter taste is a bit off-putting. If you’d like to try a bottle yourself you can check it out of Babeland. They’ve got plenty of other lubes to choose from if this one doesn’t suit your needs.

Review: Babeland Silicone Smartballs

Babeland Silicone Smartballs $36.00

It seems I may have a new obsession. I have fallen in love with vaginal balls and exercisers. I want them all, so when Babeland offered up the opportunity to review their very own version I was excited to try them out. I sent in my request and received them a few days later. Well, sort of. I received a box of Fun Factory Smartballs Teneo Duo in the mail. From what I can gather Fun Factory designed a pair in Babeland’s colors, bright blue and hot pink. They’re gorgeous and they’re very high quality, like all things Fun Factory.

Comparison Photo: Fun Factory Smartballs next to Teneo Duo

These Smartballs came with an instruction book, a brochure of other Fun Factory products and a sample of Fun Factory’s Toy Fluid. I peeled the corner off of the lube sample, put a small dot on the top of the Smartballs and inserted them. They slid in fairly easily, though I had to push them in a bit farther and adjust them once I stood up. These were more filling than the other set I tried and they stayed in place a lot better. I think it had a lot to do with the added texture of the wavy strip of silicone around each ball. The string was also very comfortable and only pinched slightly if the balls weren’t in all the way. I wore them around for the better part of one day, only having to readjust them after I had to pee. They were barely noticeable to me otherwise.

Fun Factory Brochure, Teneo Duo, Lube sample, instruction pamphlet and box.

I removed them before bed that first night. I do recommend removing them in the shower because for me they seemed to create a vacuum and it was a bit messy when they came out. It was worth the mess though because sex that night, just after one day of using the Smartballs, was awesome. My husband said that I definitely felt tighter. I love wearing these around. They help improve my PC muscles with little effort from me, though I can use them for resistance while doing kegel exercises. It also turns my husband on to know I’m wearing them. The gorgeous blue part is made of 100% silicone and the hot pink part is made of ABS plastic. To clean them just wash them with hot water and anti-bacterial soap. Store them away from other silicone toys and only use water-based lubes with them. Silicones don’t play well together.

Specs:

If you’re interested in strengthening your PC muscles you should definitely pick up a pair from Babeland. I’m going to be buying the Teneo Uno soon. Thanks so much to Babeland for letting me review these.

Review: Fun Factory Bubbles

Fun Factory Bubbles from Babeland $74

Fun Factory has a new line of click-n-charge vibrators available at Babeland. They’re basically the most adorable things next to puppies. Nothing can be as cute as puppies, but a pink Bubbles by Fun Factory runs a close second. It looks like a bumpy, pink caterpillar. There are four “bubbles” stacked on top of each other and it curves at the end for g-spot stimulation. It’s also thick enough that the texture of the bubbles will stimulate the sensitive nerves in the entrance to the vagina. Oh it’s nice!

Bubbles is made of 100% silicone so it’s free of all those nasty chemicals and completely sterilizable. The silicone is squishy enough to be comfortable to use, yet firm enough to get the job done. It comes in a soft pink or blue color and has a black, plastic base with a metal “Fun Factory” logo on the very bottom. This is where you’ll hook it up to it’s magnetic charger.

Wait, what? Yeah. More and more companies are creating eco-friendly products that are not only rechargeable, but magnetic as well. This way they can make the toys completely waterproof! The charger looks a lot like your typical cell phone charger, only it’s better. But if you’re concerned about discretion the charger will blend in. It’s solid black with the Fun Factory motto “love yourself” etched into the side. There’s a small red light next to the motto. The magnetic part that attaches to the base of the vibrator has the Fun Factory logo on the back. It flashes while it’s charging and shines steadily once it’s completely charged. My Bubbles came with a pretty decent charge so I played with it a bit before charging it (six hours recommended by the instructions) for the first full charge. Not much, just tested the settings. Every charge after that you should watch the red light to let you know if it’s done. According to the instruction booklet it should last about an hour on a full charge at the maximum setting. Mine actually only charged for about three hours before the light was solid red.

Once it was done charging I unplugged everything from the wall and started playing. The Babeland site states that it has four speeds and three vibration patterns. To me it seems like there are more speeds. To turn it on you hold down the plus button for two seconds. This starts a very slow, low vibration. Every time you click the plus sign it speeds up or you can hold it down and it will escalate to the strongest vibration. It seems like there are 7 or 8 speeds, but the difference is subtle between each one. The strongest is very intense and tickles my hand and wrist when I am holding it. It’s a little loud on the max speed so you may want to hide out in the shower or tub if you have nosy room mates. To access the other settings you hold down the plus sign again for two more seconds. The first setting is a roller coaster, starting at the lower speed and going to the most intense. The second is a quicker version of the roller coaster. The final setting is a quick, pulsing, hard vibration. To go back to the steady vibration you just hold down the minus button. To turn the vibrator off completely you hold it down until the rumbling slows and press the minus button once more.

Because I don't drink soda, here's something to compare it to.

The vibrator and magnetic charger come in separate boxes, each with a set of instructions detailing how to handle, charge and care for it. Fun Factory included a nice mini-brochure with pictures of the other vibrators, dildos and sensual products they make and a sample packet of their Toy Fluid water-based lubricant. I really like their packaging because it has magnetic flap that opens to tell you some of the things about the vibrator and there are easy to understand pictures of what to do and not to do with the products. You’ll want to use only water-based lube with the Bubbles because silicones don’t play nicely together. Don’t use it anally, at all. There is no flared base and the design makes it easy for the anal muscles to suck it up into your butt. Cleaning is simple, mild anti-bacterial soap and water or a commercial toy cleaner will work fine for regular use. If you plan to share this vibrator with another person you may want to use a condom or sterilize it with a 10% bleach solution. I would advise against boiling or putting it into the dishwasher because you don’t want to mess up the motor.

Specs:

  • Size: 5-1/2″ (4″ insertable) x 1-1/2″ (at widest point)
  • Material: Silicone
  • Volume: 2 out of 5
  • Intensity: 3 out of 5
  • Batteries: Rechargeable
  • Voltage: 100-240v — adapter (not included) required for international use
  • First charge: 3 hours
  • Subsequent charges: until blinking light goes out
  • Run time on full charge: 90 minutes on highest setting

I loved using this vibrator. The curve and length was great for reaching my g-spot, though it may not be quite right for some women. The only real complaint I have about it is the slick plastic base gets too slippery when it’s lubed up and it’s already a bit small to try to thrust with. Other than that, it’s amazing! You should definitely go pick one up from Babeland.

Review: Under the Bed Restraint System

Not everyone has a brass bed to weave restraints around when we want to be tied up, or tie our partner up. Some of us have solid headboards, hell some of us don’t have headboards at all. Fortunately the geniuses at Sportsheets thought of this and designed an Under the Bed Restraint System!

I know, right!

Chad and I had really been looking into purchasing a set, so when Babeland offered me the chance to review them I jumped at the opportunity.

The Under the Bed Restraint System comes in the typical, easy open clam-shell packaging. On the back are diagrams of two different ways you can set them up with your bed. It literally takes no time to do and the design of this thing is brilliant. The entire thing is shaped like a huge “H”, with two long, adjustable straps and one short strap in the center connecting them.

How do you set it up?

Lift your mattress. If you’ve got a boxspring you’ll lie it flat across the top of it. If not, do the same on the floor, or wherever you’ve got your bed set up. Stretch out the straps however you want and lay your mattress back on top of it. That’s it! Each strap, including the connector, is 60” long. The four straps that peek out from between the mattress are adjustable too, so it should literally fit any bed. If you’re in a college dorm with a twin size mattress or if you’ve got that giant circle bed that Shaq has, you should be able to use this restraint system with your bed. If you’re feeling particularly adventurous you could probably even rig it up under a couch or something.

The straps are made from nylon webbing with plastic adjusters, similar to those on a backpack. You can make them shorter or longer very easily, which is why the Under the Bed Restraint System is so versatile. On the end of each of the four straps is a loop made from the same nylon webbing with a sturdy metal key ring to hook the cuffs to. There are four cuffs made from neoprene, nylon webbing and velcro.  The inner lining of the cuffs is made from the neoprene, which is suppose to be sweat proof and water proof. It feels a lot like a soft, plushy velvet. It’s about two inches wide and maybe eight inches long. On the top of that layer, in the very center, a strip of nylon webbing with the female side of the velcro is sewn on, adding four more inches to the cuff. In the center of the cuff there’s a small section of the webbing left unsewn where another sturdy metal key ring is connected.  On that key ring there is a metal hook, similar to the kind on a dog leash, that can be connected to the straps under the bed. There is also a small “Sportsheets” logo tag sewn onto each cuff, which is very subtle and not distracting at all. You get four of these cuffs.

The wonderful thing about the restraint set is that you don’t even have to use the cuffs that came with it. You can use any cuffs you already own. Since the hook is connected with a key ring rather than a D-ring or O-ring, you can move them from the cuffs to the straps so that you can connect your own cuffs to the restraint system. Though the cuffs are pretty sturdy, if you’re into more hardcore type bondage you may want to use your own cuffs. You can move the straps around the mattress and adjust them according to your needs.  Probably the most wonderful thing about the restraints is that when you’re not using them you can simply tuck the straps and cuffs up underneath your mattress. They’ll be completely hidden from sight. No need to worry about your parents, kids or preacher knowing you like to be tied up. When you’re ready to play again, just slip them out from under the mattress and get the party started.

I have really enjoyed using ours. Whether you’re into hardcore bondage or you just want to try something new, you should go pick up an Under the Bed Restraint System from Babeland.
