What is Going On Down There?!

My sex drive has been improving, slightly. I’m not ravenous and I have some moody days, but I feel like I generally want to have sex more frequently. The problem is that when I do, no matter how much foreplay or touching we do, I’m not getting wet (and I am usually at least soaking my panties). I also can not feel a god damn thing! Well, I take that back, I do feel it when we hit a bad angle or there’s too much weight on my episiotomy scar. Other than that, I am getting no real pleasurable sensations.

I can’t feel my clitoris, it’s painful to stimulate my g-spot and it’s frustrating the hell out of me because it’s having an impact on my mood to not be able to have sex and orgasm.

Occasionally, when I hear Chad nearing an orgasm, I will suddenly begin feeling enough to have an orgasm, but it’s not a very big one. I’ve googled losing sensitivity in clitoris/vulva and all I seem to keep pulling up are questions or papers about using sex toys and losing sensitivity. Which is untrue, long term, though you can temporarily desensitize yourself if you’re using vibrators, but the sensations come back after a little while of not using them. I, however, have not been using toys very frequently and it’s because I can’t feel them anyway.

How do I complete sex toy reviews? How do I even out my moods and restore the intimacy in my marriage? We’re talking more and he’s taking walks with me and the dog, but there is a huge missing puzzle piece when I can’t enjoy sex. He gets off on my enjoyment and it relaxes me. I bought lingerie that I look very sexy in. Lingerie that he told me was probably the most well fitting piece we own, and I still couldn’t get turned on.

I’m hoping it’s just something hormonal, because I haven’t been able to get my doctor’s office to call in the prescription for my birth control yet. I should have been taking the first week by now and maybe the hormones are making my body all wonky. I don’t know, but I’m going nuts here. I want to have a freaking orgasm, and a good one, soon. You don’t realize how long a week or two is when you go without sex, or at least you can’t feel the sex you’re having. I thought weight loss, eating right and exercising were suppose to make sex better. I hope this sorts itself out soon because I don’t know if our insurance covers going to a doctor for ‘Why the fuck isn’t my vagina working anymore?’

Review: Mystic Wand

Mystic Wand at PinkCherry.com for $59.99

I have been putting off getting a wand-style massager for a while. The reigning champ was the Hitachi Magic Wand and it was u-g-l-y. It was huge, clunky, only had two settings and there were personal reasons for not really wanting one. Well, a few months ago Vibratex released the Mystic Wand. All of my worries dissolved. Especially when it became available in hot pinkPinkCherry.com was awesome enough to send me the pink one to review and I could not have been a happier camper.

First things first. This thing is far more visually appealing than any other wand-style vibrator available. It’s sleek and smooth and the handle is easy to wield. It’s made of a velvety plastic and molded with curves that fit the hand nicely. The buttons are easy to use. There’s a dedicated on/off button and a function button marked with a capital ‘F’. Turning it on takes you to the lowest steady vibration and turns on a purpley-blue light that lets you know it’s on. Pressing the ‘F’ button cycles through the various functions and each is indicated by a small light that changes with the settings. There are three steady vibrations (low, medium, high) a steady pulsing, a quick quick long pulse, and a roller coaster that builds from low to high. The vibrations are strong as hell. I start off on the lowest setting and if I use anything else it’s the roller coaster. I can’t handle the strength of the pulses.

The end of the toy has a firm silicone bulb. There are ripples around the center and the base of the head that are a bit squishier and flexible than the rest of it, but it stays put where it’s needed. This has pretty much become my go-to clitoral stimulator (and I own an Eroscillator, y’all.) I need a lot of wide pressure to get me off and this is absolutely perfect for the job. It’s small enough that it can be used in most sex positions. It can be used on the labia, clitoris, penis, balls, and perineum (but not in the butt). You can use it on the base of your favorite dildos and butt plugs to add some vibrations to them. It’s waterproof, so it can be used in the shower and tub. It’s light weight so it’s not going to tire your arm out. Even if it does, it can be used in completely non-sexual ways to relax sore muscles. The possibilities are endless.

The only thing I can think of that might be a problem for someone would be that it’s a little noisy. Not nearly as noisy as the Hitachi, which I’m told sounds like a freaking jack-hammer, but noisy enough that you might hear it if you share a room with anyone. You could probably slip off to a bathroom to use it though and you’d be fine. It’s also a bit of a nuisance to clean just because of the ridges. You’ll need to scrub it with an old tooth brush to clean out the grooves. Wash it off with an antibacterial soap and warm water. If you want to sanitize it a bit you can wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution. Storing it’s a breeze because it comes with it’s own white drawstring bag. Every toy should come with a storage bag.

I know you want one of your very own (if not pink, it comes in black too.) and you can pick it up at PinkCherry.com! They’ve got a selection of other wand-styled vibrators to choose from and a whole bunch of other sex toys as well.

Thanks PinkCherry.com!

Review: Ophoria Bliss #8

Bliss #8 on sale at Fascinations for $50.99!

Fascinations sent me the Ophoria Bliss #8 a couple of weeks ago to review. My initial impression was that it was an interesting play on a traditional styled vibrator. I wasn’t really sure I’d enjoy it. This is the second toy that has made me realize that I need to stop judging toys based on their appearance. I’ve tried slimline, traditional vibrators before. Those are usually the first toys most women try. They’re smooth and plastic with really buzzy vibrations. What makes the Bliss #8 different is the texture and material.

It’s made of silicone. Sometimes it still surprises me to feel how supple and comfortable silicone is. I guess it’s hard to break that initial impression of uncomfortable, cheap, plastic vibes. The Bliss #8 has a firm inner core with a slight squish on the outside. The silicone has a drag to it that is amplified by the thick, firm ribs along the shaft. Have you ever played with those little handheld, underwater ring toss games? The ones where you rapidly press buttons to release air bubbles and try to ring poles in the plastic case? The rings on this thing are stacked a lot like that. The rings are very, very firm. Firm as in, they will be uncomfortable without plenty of lube. Even with lube some people won’t like this toy. I’m a lover of all things textured so I really enjoyed the sensations.

We had a pleasant surprise when we used this toy. It happened to be thick enough to use in our harness. I assumed it would fall out since it didn’t have a flared base, but Chad was able to use it on me in the Joque. The thickness, texture and firmness made it painful if it was thrust too quickly. I found it far more pleasurable to take slower, shallow strokes. There’s even plenty of sensation for just grinding against it. It’s about 1 3/4″ in diameter so lube and a work-up may be necessary for some. It’s 8″ long (6 3/4″ insertable).

The base twists off so that you can put the two AA batteries inside. It’s a bit difficult to close and if it’s not closed just right it won’t turn on. There’s a large power button on the very bottom of the toy that cycles through all of the functions. I think there are five (low, med, high, pulsing and roller coaster), but I had a bit of trouble discerning them. I’m not sure if my batteries weren’t charged enough, if I might have gotten a faulty Bliss #8 or if it was just the way it was manufactured. Sometimes I would press the button and it would move to the next function, sometimes it wouldn’t, sometimes it would skip functions. I’ve had a lot of toys with this style of controls do this though, so I think it’s probably just the design. The vibrations still feel good. They’re deep and somewhat strong, but you’ll have to rely on your luck and hope you get the function you want when you turn it on.

For cleaning you can wash it with antibacterial soap and warm water or a commercial toy cleaner. You may need to use a nail brush or old tooth brush to clean between the rings. Textured toys usually require a bit more effort during clean up. It’s splash proof so you shouldn’t have any problem ruining the motor when you clean it, but I wouldn’t submerge it. If you want to share it between partners you should wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution to sanitize it or use condoms over it. Don’t use silicone based lubes with it and don’t put it in your butt. Silicone will ruin the toy and there’s no flared base to prevent it from being sucked into your rectum.

As far as texture and thickness go, this toy is a winner. I really enjoyed it and was able to orgasm from that stimulation alone. If you want one for yourself you can pick it up at Fascinations in hot pink or purple. They’ve got a great selection of toys to choose from if this isn’t quite what you’re looking for. Go check them out!

Thanks Fascinations for sending me this toy to review.

Review: Lia Magic Wand

Lia

It’s been about a month since I received my first assignment as a California Exotics Sexpert. I was sent the Lia Magic Wand to test thoroughly. The Lia is a slender vibrator made of matte silicone. It has four long ripples along it’s body, with the last being curved for g-spot stimulation.

Like most silicone, the vibrations are deep and thuddy rather than buzzy. They seemed to be completely concentrated in the tip of the toy as well. I didn’t notice any in the shaft. Even though they could only be felt in that one part of the toy, they were very intense. A little too intense for my sensitive clit, but perfect for those who need strong pinpointed vibrations to bring them to orgasm. When used internally the vibrations are concentrated on the g-spot. The head of the toy is quite flexible so I found it worked best to thrust quickly with it. You can’t apply pressure with a flexible tip, but you can get a nice drag from the texture of the silicone and the ridges along the shaft.

I typically prefer thicker toys. The Lia is about 1 1/4″ in diameter. It’s a fantastic choice for a beginner or if you need to work up to a larger insertable. I did enjoy thrusting with it, despite it’s slender girth.

Okay, this is going to seem kinda nerdy, but the coolest thing about this toy is the noise it makes when it’s vibrating. It literally makes me think ‘pew pew lasers’. In almost every single one of the ten functions. They’re all intense, but the pattern varies. Cycling through them all sounds like a Star Wars battle in your vagina! This is probably not ideal if you have privacy issues, but I thought it was pretty neat. It runs on two AA batteries and it’s waterproof. Only use water-based lubes so you don’t ruin the silicone. Clean it with antibacterial soap and warm water or a commercial toy cleaner.

If you want your own Lia Magic Wand you can get one from Better Sex. Thanks to California Exotics for sending me such a fun toy to review.

Guest Review: Moonlight Serenade Kit

A great kit for singles or couples.

I’ve been experimenting with anal play off and on for the last few months. Though we’ve tried a few dildos and massagers, we didn’t own a butt plug. When Good Vibrations Sex Toys asked my wife to review the Moonlight Serenade Kit, I was very interested to see how it felt. The kit includes the Bootie Anal Plug, a sample bottle of Please lubricant, and a Screaming O Vibrating Ring.

The plug is smallish, a beginner’s plug most definitely so it was perfect for me. It’s made by Fun Factory and made of 100% silicone. It has kind of a matte feel to it, so it drags a little when you slide it in but helps it stay put as well. It’s firm but squishy and very comfortable to wear. It’s only 1 and 1/8″ at its widest point. The end of the plug is a handle style, rather than a plug or a loop. It fits easily between your cheeks and the curve in the handle makes it even more comfortable to wear around while you do your thing during the day.

The lube is nice and thick when applied and glides well during use, but does get a little sticky after a short period of time. It’s water-based lube and due to the consistency it’s great for use with the butt plug that comes with the kit. I have to admit I failed to taste it and didn’t notice a scent or smell.

Last but not least, the Screaming O Vibrating Ring is a very comfortable and effective love ring. It doesn’t really do much for a cock ring, but it’s not so much meant for that use. It’s listed as being disposable, however, with care and mild soap or cleaner you could use this until the batteries die. The bullet is smaller than your usual clunky bullet yet has more than enough power to get the job done. We used this during sex rather than masturbation and my wife enjoyed this more so than any other love ring we’ve owned. It’s stretchy and comfortable to wear and can be worn under the balls or in front, on top of the penis or below, depending on what your looking for.

Out of all the products, I enjoyed the butt plug the most. Whether used during sex, worn around the house or for masturbation, it’s a high quality plug that fits well and feels good. A tip for use that really made this toy shine: use a bullet or vibrator on the base while your masturbating to cause some ah-mazing sensations. The silicone is firm enough to conduct those wonderful vibes all throughout the plug.

I would definitely recommend this kit to anyone looking to try out some anal play or looking for a super comfortable butt plug. Good Vibrations Sex Toys has it for a very affordable price. Thanks for sending us this great kit to try out!

Review: Perfect Pet

Perfect Pet from Babeland $35.00

I got a new pet from Babeland a few weeks ago. It’s cute, lilac and it purrs like a very excited kitten. Only, it’s not a kitten, it’s a vibrator! (Which is even better because I’m kind of allergic to cats.)

The Perfect Pet is about 5 1/2″ long. The face and body are made of silicone, stopping about 2/3rds of the way down and turning into a white plastic handle. It’s 1 1/2″ thick, which is pretty filling. The end of this vibrator has a slight g-spot curve, but it’s nothing significant. What really makes it feel good are the four ridges that provide textured, rumbling stimulation to the sensitive nerves in the entrance to the vagina. It’s great for short, quick thrusting.

The end, where the batteries go, is adorned with a faux jewel. The jewel twists off to reveal a little plastic battery chamber where you will put the 3 AAA batteries that come with it. Wait, what? Yes, it comes with batteries! Even though it’s a brand I’ve never heard of, they aren’t weak, cheap ones. Far too many toys have the ‘batteries not included’ disclaimer, so I’m sure you can appreciate not having to rush out to the store to pick some up before you get to use yours.

The vibrations are intense. There’s an on/off button on the front that cycles through the four options. They don’t vary in strength, at all, but there are different patterns. The first is steady and strong, then a steady pulse, then a more rapid pulsing. The last setting is a steady vibration followed by four long pulses. Holding onto it for too long makes my hand go numb. I don’t really like those sort of vibrations internally, but I love them on my clitoris. I actually prefer to use the Perfect Pet during sex to stimulate my clit. It’s thick enough that I can put the pressure I need over a wider area and the silicone is soft enough that it doesn’t pinch or cause pain.

Be sure to clean it well with Babeland  toy cleaner or with antibacterial soap and warm water. You can use a condom for sharing or wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution to sanitize it. Don’t put it in your butt, there’s no flared base. Careful while washing it because it’s not waterproof. There’s no rubber o-ring preventing water from seeping into the battery compartment. You’ll want to take extra care, probably with an old toothbrush, to clean the seaming between the silicone and ABS plastic because stuff tends to get trapped there between uses.

My only complaint is that this thing is kind of loud. If you have privacy issues you’ll want to find a quieter toy. Otherwise it’s great. It comes with batteries, it’s nice and strong and it’s made of a wonderful material. If you think it’s something you might like you should get yourself one from Babeland. If you get it before the end of May you can even get two Babeland condoms and two entice lubettes as part of their “Secrets of Good Sex” promotion! There are plenty of great toys that are part of the promotion, so you’re sure to find something you like.

Thanks so much to Babeland for sending me this cute little vibrator to review!

Review: Vibrating Mistress

Vibrating Mistress from Babeland $60.00

When I first began reviewing I got my hands on a few silicone toys. While the material itself has wonderful properties, I was not really impressed with the rigidity of the products I had. They caused some discomfort for me internally and I had almost sworn off silicone completely. Then I began receiving products from different companies and noticing their silicones felt different. More squishy, more comfortable, more pleasurable… and finally, thanks to the lovely folks at Babeland, I have found my absolute favorite brand of silicone. They sent me the Vixen Creations Vibrating Mistress to review (and after receiving it I finally decided I needed to have the Vixskin Randy.)

They sent this around St. Patrick’s Day (holy crap, have I really been playing with this thing for nearly two months already?!) because of it’s green-ish color. I wasn’t that enthusiastic about a green dildo (save for the Astro, which is more about girth and texture than color). Imagine my surprise when it arrived in the mail, in it’s simple, clear, plastic cylinder and it wasn’t green at all. In fact, it was a beautiful aqua/teal shade that I have used to decorate a few of the rooms in my house!  If you hold it at an angle in the sunlight there is even a slight sparkling sheen to it and you can see some of the marbling from where it was poured.

It’s shaped like a penis, obviously, but only vaguely. It’s completely smooth, aside from the indentation between the head and the shaft. It’s got a wide, flared base that makes it harness compatible and safe for anal play. Just be sure that you wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution or boil it between holes. You want to make sure any fecal bacteria is cleaned off before inserting it into the vagina again. I was worried it might be a bit floppy for anal pegging, but it worked very well for us. I felt pretty sexy with it strapped onto my body and my husband bent over in front of me. It’s not too thick, at about 1 1/4″ in diameter, but you will need to make sure you’ve warmed up and use plenty of lube. The squishy texture was comfortable for us, as beginners to anal.

There is a hole in the base that a bullet style vibrator can be inserted into. It comes with a small bullet on a string. It’s nothing spectacular. Just your standard, silver, push button, watch battery style bullet. The string does help retrieve the bullet when you need to clean your dildo. Be sure to put a dab of lube inside of the hole before inserting the bullet to help with removal after use.

The only real con that I can think of, which is an issue with most silicone toys, is it attracts lint, pet hair, and dust like a magnet. Vixen Creations silicone is actually a little bit stickier than other silicones. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, it just means you will find yourself washing off the Mistress before each use as well as after. I store mine wrapped in saran wrap to help with this. You can store it in drawstring bags, the container it came in… whatever you fancy, just make sure you keep it cool and dry to prevent damage. Also, no silicone lubes. Water-based only, or you’ll ruin it. Clean it with an anti-bacterial soap between vaginal uses, and either boil it or soak it in a 10% bleach solution to sanitize between anal uses.

I just can't get over how pretty the color is!

Want a pretty, blue Vibrating Mistress of your own? They’ve got them at Babeland. On a budget? They’ve got them without the vibrating bullet for a little cheaper. If that’s not quite what you’re looking for they have a selection of other dildos and toys by Vixen Creations too. If you still aren’t finding something you want they’ve got plenty of other dildos, vibrators, lubes, and books to peruse. Go ahead, get yourself something special!

Review: Tantus Rascal O2

Tantus Rascal O2 at EdenFantasys $83.99

As satisfied as I was with the Tantus Rascal, when I found the Rascal O2 on sale I knew I needed one. Of course, I picked the pink one (though it also comes in purple and blue). The coloring starts out at the base with a very vibrant hot pink and gradually fades to white at the tip of the dildo.  It’s made of 100% Tantus silicone. It’s non-porous, free of phthalates, hypo-allergenic and completely sterilizable.

The O2 is slightly larger than the regular Rascal. It’s about 5 ½” long with 4 ¾” of that being insertable. It’s 1 ¾” diameter and 5 ½” in circumference. It’s very thick. So thick that it easily stimulates my g-spot, even though there’s no real curve. It has a flared based, making it o-ring harness compatible and safe for anal use (if you’re brave enough for this big boy). Like the Rascal, the O2 has ten raised ribs but what makes it different is the texture of the silicone. It has a firm inner core that is covered with a very, very squishy silicone that mimics the feeling of a real penis. It bends slightly and feels very comfortable when inserted. Because of the squishier silicone you don’t notice the ribs as much as you do with the firmer silicone on the regular Rascal. I can’t decide which I prefer because they both feel absolutely incredible. The only real downside I can see to the texture is that it’s even more of a lint magnet than regular silicone.

You can see the size difference between the Rascal and the O2 here, as well as how large they are compared to a regular size can of refried beans.

The Rascal O2 has a hole in the base where a bullet can be inserted. It comes with a silver, one-speed, push-button bullet  that runs on watch batteries. It’s pretty strong and transmits well throughout the entire toy. Just be sure to put some lube on the inside of the hole before you insert the bullet into the base because if you don’t you will have a really hard time getting it out. I actually wound up destroying one bullet with a pair of needle-nose pliers getting a bullet out of it. The bullet that comes with it runs on three watch-sized batteries, which are kind of hard to come by. The bullet is waterproof if you enjoy masturbating of shower sex. If you like the vibrations you may want to invest in a higher quality bullet to use with it.

A gorgeous view from the top.

For cleaning you can just use mild anti-bacterial soap and water or a commercial toy cleaner. If you need to sterilize it for sharing (with another person or between holes) you can boil it, clean it with a 10% bleach solution or run it through the dishwasher (top rack, no soap). You’ll want to store it away from other silicone toys and avoid silicone based lubricants or you’ll risk damaging the lovely texture of the O2. I keep mine wrapped in saran wrap, but I am purchasing some storage bags for my silicone dildos very soon. You may also want to avoid storing it underneath anything. I noticed some small indentations in the tip of the dildo when it arrived. I assume this is from where it was stored in the warehouse or how it was shipped. Prolonged storage underneath something with corners or something heavy may disfigure your dildo a bit.

I absolutely love the squishy, skin-like texture of this toy. I’ve also found that I prefer shorter, thicker toys. Longer toys tend to bump my cervix painfully. If you like to be filled by the toys you play with then you certainly need to pick yourself up a Tantus Rascal O2. You can find it at this sex shop I trust.

Review: Fun Factory Bubbles

Fun Factory Bubbles from Babeland $74

Fun Factory has a new line of click-n-charge vibrators available at Babeland. They’re basically the most adorable things next to puppies. Nothing can be as cute as puppies, but a pink Bubbles by Fun Factory runs a close second. It looks like a bumpy, pink caterpillar. There are four “bubbles” stacked on top of each other and it curves at the end for g-spot stimulation. It’s also thick enough that the texture of the bubbles will stimulate the sensitive nerves in the entrance to the vagina. Oh it’s nice!

Bubbles is made of 100% silicone so it’s free of all those nasty chemicals and completely sterilizable. The silicone is squishy enough to be comfortable to use, yet firm enough to get the job done. It comes in a soft pink or blue color and has a black, plastic base with a metal “Fun Factory” logo on the very bottom. This is where you’ll hook it up to it’s magnetic charger.

Wait, what? Yeah. More and more companies are creating eco-friendly products that are not only rechargeable, but magnetic as well. This way they can make the toys completely waterproof! The charger looks a lot like your typical cell phone charger, only it’s better. But if you’re concerned about discretion the charger will blend in. It’s solid black with the Fun Factory motto “love yourself” etched into the side. There’s a small red light next to the motto. The magnetic part that attaches to the base of the vibrator has the Fun Factory logo on the back. It flashes while it’s charging and shines steadily once it’s completely charged. My Bubbles came with a pretty decent charge so I played with it a bit before charging it (six hours recommended by the instructions) for the first full charge. Not much, just tested the settings. Every charge after that you should watch the red light to let you know if it’s done. According to the instruction booklet it should last about an hour on a full charge at the maximum setting. Mine actually only charged for about three hours before the light was solid red.

Once it was done charging I unplugged everything from the wall and started playing. The Babeland site states that it has four speeds and three vibration patterns. To me it seems like there are more speeds. To turn it on you hold down the plus button for two seconds. This starts a very slow, low vibration. Every time you click the plus sign it speeds up or you can hold it down and it will escalate to the strongest vibration. It seems like there are 7 or 8 speeds, but the difference is subtle between each one. The strongest is very intense and tickles my hand and wrist when I am holding it. It’s a little loud on the max speed so you may want to hide out in the shower or tub if you have nosy room mates. To access the other settings you hold down the plus sign again for two more seconds. The first setting is a roller coaster, starting at the lower speed and going to the most intense. The second is a quicker version of the roller coaster. The final setting is a quick, pulsing, hard vibration. To go back to the steady vibration you just hold down the minus button. To turn the vibrator off completely you hold it down until the rumbling slows and press the minus button once more.

Because I don't drink soda, here's something to compare it to.

The vibrator and magnetic charger come in separate boxes, each with a set of instructions detailing how to handle, charge and care for it. Fun Factory included a nice mini-brochure with pictures of the other vibrators, dildos and sensual products they make and a sample packet of their Toy Fluid water-based lubricant. I really like their packaging because it has magnetic flap that opens to tell you some of the things about the vibrator and there are easy to understand pictures of what to do and not to do with the products. You’ll want to use only water-based lube with the Bubbles because silicones don’t play nicely together. Don’t use it anally, at all. There is no flared base and the design makes it easy for the anal muscles to suck it up into your butt. Cleaning is simple, mild anti-bacterial soap and water or a commercial toy cleaner will work fine for regular use. If you plan to share this vibrator with another person you may want to use a condom or sterilize it with a 10% bleach solution. I would advise against boiling or putting it into the dishwasher because you don’t want to mess up the motor.

Specs:

  • Size: 5-1/2″ (4″ insertable) x 1-1/2″ (at widest point)
  • Material: Silicone
  • Volume: 2 out of 5
  • Intensity: 3 out of 5
  • Batteries: Rechargeable
  • Voltage: 100-240v — adapter (not included) required for international use
  • First charge: 3 hours
  • Subsequent charges: until blinking light goes out
  • Run time on full charge: 90 minutes on highest setting

I loved using this vibrator. The curve and length was great for reaching my g-spot, though it may not be quite right for some women. The only real complaint I have about it is the slick plastic base gets too slippery when it’s lubed up and it’s already a bit small to try to thrust with. Other than that, it’s amazing! You should definitely go pick one up from Babeland.

Review: Cloud 9

Excuse me while I gush, quite literally, about this toy. I received the Cloud 9 from Babeland about two weeks ago and haven’t been able to devote much time to trying it out for various reasons. I used it once with my husband, who had it turned around backwards. I was wondering why it felt like he was trying to scrape through my vaginal wall into my rectum. I’ve had the opportunity to try it the right way now and this is one of the first g-spot and Cal Exotics toys that I am truly pleased with.

The Cloud 9 is a hard plastic g-spot vibrator made by Cal Exotics. It has the same velvet cote texture that a lot of toys made by this company have. This gives it the firmness of the plastic, with the nice drag of matte silicone. It’s about four and a half inches long and two inches in diameter, which is pretty thick as far as insertables go. Some people may find it necessary to work up to this, and you’ll want to use plenty of your favorite lube with. No worries about damaging anything since plastic is compatible with most anything.

The Cloud 9 has a curvy body and a rounded base. The top of the toy has an oval shaped tip with five raised nubs designed for intense g-spot stimulation. It curves in slightly and rounds back out to two inches of thickness to give maximum stimulation to the nerves in the entrance to the vagina. It then dips in and rounds back out into a nicely shaped handle that fits in the palm of the hand for easy thrusting or rocking.

The bottom of the Cloud 9 twists off to reveal the battery compartment. It runs on two double A sized batteries. While I did manage to squeeze rechargeable ones in there, I wouldn’t recommend it because it was such a tight fit I am going to be struggling to get them out when they need to be recharged. There is a clear o-ring around the base to keep water out, so you can play with your Cloud 9 in the shower, tub or swimming pool if you want. Just be sure to twist the bottom on tightly to prevent damage to the battery compartment.

A lot of these types of toys have a turn dial on the base, and this one is no exception. To control the speed of the vibrations you just twist the base. The vibrations range from slow to pretty intense and remain quiet through every setting. The thickness of the toy and the velvet cote give it a deep, thrummy feeling vibration instead of the surface chattering of some hard plastics. They feel incredible when using the Cloud 9 and can be felt deep in the g-spot and in the entrance to the vagina.

Cleaning is pretty simple. Just soap and water or a commercial toy cleaner. Be sure the end is twisted on tightly when cleaning, just as you would when using it in the tub. Don’t try it for anal play because there isn’t a large enough flare at the base to prevent it from getting stuck. Seriously, don’t risk it.

Overall, I absolutely love this toy so far. That’s saying quite a lot considering I have tried several of the higher end g-spot toys and have had little success in getting myself to orgasm with them. If you enjoy thicker and firmer toys with deep vibrations then the Cloud 9 would be a worthy investment. Go pick one up to add to your collection!
