Eroscillator 2 Plus

The one I ordered came with 3 different heads, with 6 separate sides. So each attachment had different textures on either side of it. The first is called “Ball and Cup” and it’s pretty self explanatory, if you look at the name. One side is a rounded ball with three raised nubs, the other is a shallow cup shaped hole.

The second is “Grapes and Cockscomb”, another self explanatory attachment. One side is shaped like a cluster of grapes and the other has prongs, like a comb, though there is no space between them.

The other attachment is the “Golden Spoon”. One side is shaped like a spoon, with a very small raised nub on the inside tip, the other is a flat disc with nine raised nubs in an oval shape.

Each attachment has a unique sensation when it’s being used and there are several other attachments you can purchase separately or with the upgraded version of the Eroscillator. I can hardly handle the intensity of the first setting on the original Eroscillator, so I’m just going to invest in the extras later on. I did have the fingertip attachment, which was really awesome. It needed more lubricant than the others, but the marshmallow texture felt really good. Somehow it got punctured and I’ll have to buy a new one though.

If you had asked me last year about the Eroscillator, I’d have told you not to waste your money. Now I find myself reaching for it all the time. I think I’ve used it three times this past week alone. Of course, the fact that it has a plug is pretty useful (the cord is like 12 feet long on this thing, so no worries about not being able to find an outlet close enough to where you need to use it.) I don’t have to worry about whether or not I’ve charged the battery or if the batteries are going to die in the middle of my orgasm. I just plug it up behind my nightstand and tuck it into the top drawer, so it’s easy to grab whenever I want to use it. I guess you can plainly see that if you asked me today if you should get an Eroscillator, I would drive you to the store myself and put it in your cart.

Fairy Pocket Mini USB

Women use to be limited to the gigantic, loud, heavy and fugly Hitachi Magic Wand if they wanted a non-phallic massager. No more! Now we’ve got so many options. Many of them are are in the Fairy line, including the Fairy Pocket Mini USB that I received from MyPleasure.com.

So what is it? It’s a mini-version, literally pocket-sized (as the name implies), of a wand massager. It’s size makes it both cuter and more discreet. It can easily be stashed in a purse, pocket or bag for travel and it charges with a cord that plugs into any USB port. Quite convenient!

It comes in a little pink box, complete with fairy silhouettes and sparkles. It’s a Japanese product, and most of the characters on the box are Japanese, but there is enough important information translated to English. It’s got a rechargeable lithium battery that takes about 90 minutes to fully charge. The charge should last about 70 minutes and it’s got a protection circuit to prevent overcharging. All rechargeable products should have this, especially sex toys.

The toy itself is quite tiny. It’s 5 3/4 inches long and 1 inch wide. It’s white with light pink cursive writing and a fairy logo. This particular version, coming from MyPleasure.com, also has the My Pleasure logo on the back in the same shade of pink. It comes with a wrist strap and a USB cord, which should be plugged in and fully charged before your first use. (Any rechargeable sex toy should be charged before your first use.) When charging, the tip of the toy that’s plugged in will glow blue. It doesn’t change colors when it’s done. Just keep an eye on the clock and it should be done after about 90 minutes.

Now it’s ready to use! It has two settings, low and high. Both are intense, but I’m quite sensitive to vibrations. If I press the end into my wrist on low, I can feel the vibrations all the way in the tips of my fingers, if that gives you an idea of how strong it is. It makes a quiet, but high-pitched whine when turned on. Nothing that would be noticeable if there was a bit of background noise, but it might be distracting in a quiet room.

The size is more manageable during sex, for me. I like that it’s travel-friendly and easily stored, but I also like that I can fit it in between my husband and I when we’re facing each other during sex. Some wands are bulky, and that can make it awkward to find a good position or angle during penetration. This is small enough that we can stay in a comfortable position. The size also makes it more lightweight, so your arm isn’t going to get tired when you’re up on your knees supporting your own weight. It also makes it less intimidating. If you’re new to sex toys, you’re probably not going to want something as big as your forearm that sounds like a jackhammer. Hell, I’ve been using sex toys for several years now and I still don’t want something that intrusive. It’s just nice to find something that has enough power to carry you through an intense orgasm that’s small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.

Since it’s made of plastic, you can feel free to use any of your favorite lubricants with it. Silicone won’t degrade the material, but if you’re more fond of water based lubes, that’s fine too. Clean up may be a bit tricky as this toy is not waterproof. You may want to limit cleaning to wiping it down with a damp rag after spraying it with commercial toy cleaner, carefully avoiding the open charging port on the handle. It can only be charged via a USB port, but there are other Fairy Minis available that use batteries if you don’t own or have access to a USB.

When conjuring up images of sex toys, the Wahl isn’t exactly something that would come to mind. In fact, it wasn’t even designed for that purpose. It’s actually a 2-speed all over body massager. It vibrates though, and at some point someone got horny and used it to get themselves off and it eventually caught on. For me, it worked best as a body massager. The vibrations were entirely too intense to get anywhere near my crotch. I’ve still managed to get plenty of use out of it for it’s intended purposes. After a couple days of exercise, my muscles will feel pretty sore and my husband is kind enough to use it to relax me, which often leads to a night of sex. I guess in a roundabout way it does work for us as a sex toy.

Like the Hitachi Magic Wand, the Wahl All-Body Massager has had it’s name shortened in the sex toy world. Many simply refer to it as ‘the Wahl’, though that’s just the company that manufactures the product. It’s a light grey with a large, heavy handle and 7 attachments. There are two speeds, high and low, and it plugs into the wall with a 9-foot long cord. The motor has a very quiet hum and the design doesn’t scream sex toy, so if you’re looking for some discretion this is definitely a good option.

I always have a hard time gauging material texture with online pictures. I can stare at products like the Wahl and wonder how on earth the hard looking plastic would feel comfortable, let alone pleasurable, in use. I was surprised to find that while each attachment is made of a firm and solid plastic, some of them are fairly pliable. Even the ones that don’t bend aren’t completely stiff. Each has it’s own purpose and it’s easier to discuss in a list.

Attachments for the Wahl

1. The first attachment is for facial use. It’s round and flat, reminding me of a tub stopper or a desk lamp shape. It is one of the bendable pieces and it molds nicely to the cheeks, forehead and chin in use. I prefer to use it on the low setting when I have a headache or sinus issues. It’s one of the more gentle attachments.

2. This funky looking piece was designed for muscle kneading. It’s a rectangular shape with four ridges along the top. It’s quite firm and can be used on larger muscles, like the calves, thighs and back. It feels really great after a hard workout and I enjoyed both the low and high settings. It gets used pretty often around here.

3. The attachment that looks like a mini shower head is meant to massage the scalp. Like the facial piece, it feels amazing when you’ve got a headache. It’s very pliable. I prefer this attachment on the low setting.

4. The triangle is designed to get into the knuckles and joints. I was pretty skeptical of using this one for it’s intended purposes, thinking it would be painful or uncomfortable, but it turned out to work really well. I just didn’t think that type of massage would feel really good. It might be really great for people who have stiff joints from injuries or arthritis.

5. The attachment with two circles is for deep muscle massage and this is my favorite. It’s begun to discolor a bit from using it with different types of oils and lotions. I haven’t noticed any deterioration of the material other than the color change. I prefer to use it on my lower back on either setting. It gets tight after workouts sometimes and during my period I get bad lower back cramps. This really helps to loosen them up and usually puts me to sleep.

6. This attachment is similar to the deep muscle one, but the center sticks out a lot more. It’s for spot application. It seems to be most useful when you’ve got a bad knot that’s bothering you. It really helps to aim the vibrations deep into a pin point location. I don’t use it that frequently, but it feels great on either setting.

7. The other round disc is for all over body massage. I love this one too. It’s got more of a cup shape than the flat, facial attachment, and it feels great on most areas of the body.

Of course, you can try each attachment for sexual purposes to see which sensations you enjoy. My poor clitoris just couldn’t handle the intensity, but many other people have found it enjoyable. For me, it works best for foreplay. I love a nice, relaxing massage. It helps melt away the everyday stress and puts my mind in a place where I can focus on sex. Every month California Exotics surprises me with another toy in the mail. Sometimes it’s a great surprise, like the rabbit vibrator, and other times it’s not so great. Last month I received the Couture Collection Bliss, which is part of their higher quality collection. While the idea behind the toy was impressive, it just didn’t live up to my expectations.

The Couture Collection Bliss is a rechargeable remote controlled egg shaped vibrator. If you’re like me, your idea of fun with a toy like this is to wear it out and have your partner keep the remote control in their pocket so they can surprise you throughout the evening. We didn’t even make it to that stage.

We took it out of the package and set it on it’s charger. Like several other toys I own, this one needed to charge for a while before the first use. Once it was ready, I held the egg and my husband began playing with the remote at various distances away from me. We wanted to get an idea for what kind of range it had. It wound up being alright, seemed like it could pick up the signals from the remote from about 6 feet away. Far enough away that it should have picked up in a vehicle or across the table at a restaurant.

Then we started cycling through some of the 7 functions. There wasn’t anything out of the ordinary. Typical steady, pulsating and escalating vibrations. They seemed really loud and whiny though, which was a concern if we intended to take it out with us for some public play. This is where it started getting really disappointing. I needed to insert it to see if you could hear the whining of the motor from inside of me, and what sort of noise level could cover it up. The problem was that the egg couldn’t be turned on and off once inserted. I guess body mass interrupts the signals. My husband had to have the remote between my legs and pointing towards my crotch to get it to do anything.

You can imagine that this wouldn’t be very subtle or sexy for public use.

I considered that it might be doable if you slipped it into that little cloth pocket inside your panties, but it’s so bulky and firm that I think that would be very uncomfortable. It’s as big as a large egg. Besides, the design really makes me think it’s intended to be used internally, considering it’s got a retrieval string.

I thought that perhaps my Bliss might be a faulty one after reading several reviews giving it good ratings, but after talking with a few other people who have it, the wonky remote signals and whining seems consistent. I do believe that charge and battery strength may contribute to how well the egg picks up signals outside the body, but internally it’s a big fat dud.

If you don’t think any of that is going to be an issue for you, the Bliss is available at Eden Fantasys. However, there is a huge selection of luxury products that I would rather spend my $99 on. There are also tons of other Cal Exotics products available that actually work and won’t put such a huge dent in your wallet.

I have been incredibly curious to see what this vibrator was like since I began reviewing over a year ago. Thanks to the folks over at Good Vibes, I had the opportunity to give it a try!

The We-Vibe II is marketed as a couple’s toy and is intended to be used during sex. It’s shaped like a ‘U’ and is simply inserted into the vagina prior to penetration. The leg of the ‘U’ that gets inserted is ridged on the inside and thick enough to stimulate the g-spot, yet slender enough to not interfere with thrusting. The other half lays on the outside of the vulva, stimulating your labia and clitoris. It vibrations can also be felt by the male partner, which really does make this an excellent couple’s toy.

Speaking of vibrations, the We-Vibe II has dual motors. Do you know what that means? It means that the intensity of the deep, rumbly vibrations can be felt evenly throughout the toy. A lot of single motor toys can’t provide the same sort of stimulation because the motor is located on one end of the toy, causing the vibrations to weaken towards the other end. The motors in the We-Vibe II are located in the parts of the toy that will have direct contact with the areas they are intended to stimulate, which provides the most intensity.

You will appreciate this when you’re playing around with the 9 different modes, which vary between steady, escalating and pulsating vibrations. Deep, rumbly, awesome vibrations.

The We-Vibe II is made from 100% medical grade silicone, making it body safe and sanitizable. It’s smooth, flexible texture is comfortable to insert and wear. It’s water resistant, so it can handle a thorough scrubbing and even be used in the shower, but I wouldn’t completely submerge it. It’s also rechargeable. No batteries! The charge lasts forever. I’ve used mine several times over the last few months and have only had to charge it once. You can read more about the details with charging it and cleaning it in the instruction manual  that comes with it. Pay close attention to this because a lot of toys, including this one, require a longer initial charge.

Speaking of charging, I was a bit confused at first about how I was suppose to charge it. I’ve misplaced my instructions, but I’m pretty sure it explained it in the booklet. There’s a small dot on the tip of the toy that you puncture with the metal thing and just slide it all the way into the charging port, which is hidden under the dot. Turning it on was the same way, because there was no labeled button. There’s just a larger dot, located near the charging hole, that you hold down. You press it once to cycle through the modes and hold it down again to turn it off. This can be a little difficult when you’ve already got it inserted and lubed up due to the slickness of the silicone. I found that just lifting the clitoral/outside leg off of my vulva and pressing the button firmly worked well.

The only real con I can think of is that it occasionally slipped to one side of my labia during use, but it wasn’t that hard to slide back into place. It’s really a great toy. I appreciate how it doesn’t really require any alterations to the way you have sex. It just sort of works with whatever you enjoy doing, which includes penis in vagina intercourse or even masturbating with a dildo.

A few precautions: No silicone lubricants with silicone toys. Sometimes the materials react to each other and change the texture of the toy, which can mess up it’s functionality. Don’t submerge it, it’s only water resistant, not waterproof. Don’t put it in your butt! There’s not flared based and the toy could easily get lost.

My We-Vibe II also came with a little goody bag full of cute buttons, magnets, lube samples, condoms and other stuff. I’m not sure if this is standard, but it was a nice bonus. The gorgeous LELO Gigi

The Gigi is identical in shape and size to the Ella. The only differences are that the Gigi is a vibrator and the Ella is a double-ended dildo. It’s made of medical grade, completely body-safe silicone. It’s very firm, which for me helped with g-spot stimulation. I also prefer the plastic handle and control pad to the pointy end of the Ella because it’s easier to hold onto. It’s curved body anchors itself around the pubic bone, easily finding the g-spot. The flat head doubles as an excellent clitoral stimulator, though you can’t do both at the same time, obviously, unless you just want to splurge on two Gigis. I’ve had this thing for about 3 weeks now and haven’t charged it since the first day it came. When it’s charging, it lights up to indicate that it’s charging. It also lights up as you cycle through the vibration levels and patterns. There’s a large, round button on the front and tilting it to one side changes the settings. Pressing the plus side strengthens the vibrations and pressing the minus sign will slow them down. The up and down arrow cycle you through the patterns (steady, slow pulse, medium pulse, quick pulse and roller coaster.)

My concern about the strength of the vibrations wasn’t necessary. Most of the people who aren’t satisfied with the power of the vibrations prefer toys like the Hitachi Magic Wand or the Wahl. Both of which are for massaging sore muscles but have been repurposed for masturbation. There’s nothing wrong with this, of course, but you need to consider your own sensitivities when choosing your sex toys. I have a fairly sensitive clitoris and I haven’t had to use it on the strongest setting yet.

Gigi is splash-proof enough for cleaning purpose, and I have used mine in the shower, but I noticed water in the charging hole afterward. I would recommend being fairly cautious while cleaning, checking to be sure the rubber tab is plugging up the hole to prevent damage. Clean with warm water and anti-bacterial soap or a commercial toy cleaner. Don’t use silicone lube with it and store it in it’s gorgeous packaging.

Last month I received the Rhythm O for review from Cal Exotics. The Rhythm O Triple Kiss is a rabbit styled vibrator with a beaded, rotating shaft and a clitoral bullet attached at the base. There are several combinations of vibrations and functions, easily controlled by the large buttons on the front. It has a dedicated on/off button for that controls the bullet vibrator. Beneath that is a button with a ’7′ on it that cycles you through the vibration settings. There are 7 of them, low, medium, high, an amazing roller coaster, and 3 pulsing settings. I happen to love the patterns, specifically the roller coaster. The vibrations are all pretty strong and intense. Underneath the ’7′ button there’s a ‘HOT’ button that will randomly cycle you through the vibration patterns. It’s a nice feature for those of us who enjoy being surprised as if someone else were controlling the toy.

The other two buttons are up and down arrows that control the shaft of the toy. It looks like corn on the cob. Seriously. But that’s okay! It’s kind of awesome. Inside the shaft are 6 rows of plastic beads that move in wiggle. Here’s where this vibrator shines for me. Most vibrators with pearls, discs, beads or any other rotation trying to go down simultaneously with the buzzing of the attached clitoral bullet sucks. There is never enough battery juice to have the combination of functions going at once. You also usually lose a ton of power just by sticking it inside of your vagina, because the muscles in your vaginal walls contract on the motor. When you combine both of those, it’s incredibly frustrating. Especially when you consider the cost of higher end rabbit vibrators. The Rhythm O shocked the hell out of me because no matter how hard I squeezed the shaft, it didn’t weaken the movements. Even with the vibrations turned on, it was as strong as ever, though you can hear the motor pushing harder with the added strain.

This is a fairly large vibrator. The shaft is 5 3/4″ long and 1 1/2″ thick. It’s probably about 12 inches long all together, including the handle. I think the large handle makes it easier to use. As far as I can tell, the Rhythm O is made of plastic with a TPE sleeve covering all the parts. It’s easy to clean and water proof. It runs on 4 AAA batteries that are easy to install because of the removable battery pack. You can use most any lubricant with this material without damaging it.

The only downside about this toy is that it’s quite noisy. If you’re in need of something discreet, you’ll probably want to try another option. First things first. This thing is far more visually appealing than any other wand-style vibrator available. It’s sleek and smooth and the handle is easy to wield. It’s made of a velvety plastic and molded with curves that fit the hand nicely. The buttons are easy to use. There’s a dedicated on/off button and a function button marked with a capital ‘F’. Turning it on takes you to the lowest steady vibration and turns on a purpley-blue light that lets you know it’s on. Pressing the ‘F’ button cycles through the various functions and each is indicated by a small light that changes with the settings. There are three steady vibrations (low, medium, high) a steady pulsing, a quick quick long pulse, and a roller coaster that builds from low to high. The vibrations are strong as hell. I start off on the lowest setting and if I use anything else it’s the roller coaster. I can’t handle the strength of the pulses.

The end of the toy has a firm silicone bulb. There are ripples around the center and the base of the head that are a bit squishier and flexible than the rest of it, but it stays put where it’s needed. This has pretty much become my go-to clitoral stimulator (and I own an Eroscillator, y’all.) I need a lot of wide pressure to get me off and this is absolutely perfect for the job. It’s small enough that it can be used in most sex positions. It can be used on the labia, clitoris, penis, balls, and perineum (but not in the butt). You can use it on the base of your favorite dildos and butt plugs to add some vibrations to them. It’s waterproof, so it can be used in the shower and tub. It’s light weight so it’s not going to tire your arm out. Even if it does, it can be used in completely non-sexual ways to relax sore muscles. The possibilities are endless.

The only thing I can think of that might be a problem for someone would be that it’s a little noisy. Not nearly as noisy as the Hitachi, which I’m told sounds like a freaking jack-hammer, but noisy enough that you might hear it if you share a room with anyone. You could probably slip off to a bathroom to use it though and you’d be fine. It’s also a bit of a nuisance to clean just because of the ridges. You’ll need to scrub it with an old tooth brush to clean out the grooves. Wash it off with an antibacterial soap and warm water. If you want to sanitize it a bit you can wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution. Storing it’s a breeze because it comes with it’s own white drawstring bag. Every toy should come with a storage bag.

Bliss #8 on sale at Fascinations for $50.99!

Fascinations sent me the Ophoria Bliss #8 a couple of weeks ago to review. My initial impression was that it was an interesting play on a traditional styled vibrator. I wasn’t really sure I’d enjoy it. This is the second toy that has made me realize that I need to stop judging toys based on their appearance. I’ve tried slimline, traditional vibrators before. Those are usually the first toys most women try. They’re smooth and plastic with really buzzy vibrations. What makes the Bliss #8 different is the texture and material.

It’s made of silicone. Sometimes it still surprises me to feel how supple and comfortable silicone is. I guess it’s hard to break that initial impression of uncomfortable, cheap, plastic vibes. The Bliss #8 has a firm inner core with a slight squish on the outside. The silicone has a drag to it that is amplified by the thick, firm ribs along the shaft. Have you ever played with those little handheld, underwater ring toss games? The ones where you rapidly press buttons to release air bubbles and try to ring poles in the plastic case? The rings on this thing are stacked a lot like that. The rings are very, very firm. Firm as in, they will be uncomfortable without plenty of lube. Even with lube some people won’t like this toy. I’m a lover of all things textured so I really enjoyed the sensations.

We had a pleasant surprise when we used this toy. It happened to be thick enough to use in our harness. I assumed it would fall out since it didn’t have a flared base, but Chad was able to use it on me in the Joque. The thickness, texture and firmness made it painful if it was thrust too quickly. I found it far more pleasurable to take slower, shallow strokes. There’s even plenty of sensation for just grinding against it. It’s about 1 3/4″ in diameter so lube and a work-up may be necessary for some. It’s 8″ long (6 3/4″ insertable).

The base twists off so that you can put the two AA batteries inside. It’s a bit difficult to close and if it’s not closed just right it won’t turn on. There’s a large power button on the very bottom of the toy that cycles through all of the functions. I think there are five (low, med, high, pulsing and roller coaster), but I had a bit of trouble discerning them. I’m not sure if my batteries weren’t charged enough, if I might have gotten a faulty Bliss #8 or if it was just the way it was manufactured. Sometimes I would press the button and it would move to the next function, sometimes it wouldn’t, sometimes it would skip functions. I’ve had a lot of toys with this style of controls do this though, so I think it’s probably just the design. The vibrations still feel good. They’re deep and somewhat strong, but you’ll have to rely on your luck and hope you get the function you want when you turn it on.

For cleaning you can wash it with antibacterial soap and warm water or a commercial toy cleaner. You may need to use a nail brush or old tooth brush to clean between the rings. Textured toys usually require a bit more effort during clean up. It’s splash proof so you shouldn’t have any problem ruining the motor when you clean it, but I wouldn’t submerge it. If you want to share it between partners you should wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution to sanitize it or use condoms over it. Don’t use silicone based lubes with it and don’t put it in your butt. Silicone will ruin the toy and there’s no flared base to prevent it from being sucked into your rectum.

As far as texture and thickness go, this toy is a winner. I really enjoyed it and was able to orgasm from that stimulation alone.
